Counselor Drosselmeier visits the Stahlbaum house. He brings gifts to his godchildren Maria and Fede. There is a toy that catches Maria's attention: a wooden nutcracker. The toy comes to life at night to prepare for battle with the evil Seven-Headed Mouse.
