I really liked the thing with the Blooper real at the start because I felt that that made it more of like a happy kind of carefree tone for us of it. Which is why I feel that my age demographic would be more attracted to cool. Well, maybe I'll just take exactly that comment right there and put it at the beginning, 1s because that would be awesome. That would be kind of meta. 5s All right. What was that, nephew? I just said yes. 2s All right. I'll make sure to highlight that in the edit. Nice. 2s We'll move straight on to new splits. Blue splits. Let's not do that. Blue spits. 2s They're just basically just swamping the system by getting panicked by and going 2s buy a toilet paper. Yeah, exactly. Go get that toilet paper when you can. 1s No, don't. Don't. You're going to start a whole thing. 2s We don't need that again. We've been there on that. 1s Alright? I'm ready to talk about this. Okay? 1s Alright, NF. 3s All right. I was going to call you NFU, but you're not NFU, your nephew. 1s All right, nephew. Okay. Wait. Stop. Pause. Ready? Gather myself. 1s Stop laughing. 12s Hello, everyone, and welcome to NFU News episode five. Today is November 26, 2022 and we have new microphones, bro. Yeah, we do. How do I sound on my new microphone? Do I sound like a true podcaster? Not quite, but it sounds pretty good. Should I put on my radio voice? Do I sound better? Like a true podcaster? Give yourself a weird accent. Yeah, I don't know what that was. I just interpreted that. How? Like podcasters talk? No, that's like that's just how news anchors talk. 2s Yeah, that's true. I think the beauty of podcasting is that it's really just a conversation. And I think that's what I'm trying what I think we're trying to do here for anyone who is new to the show, that's the format of the show is I explain to my nephew I am uncle. I explained to my nephew news events that happened in the last week. It's a lot more of just back and forth and we're hoping people can learn more about the news and be a little bit more entertained. Yeah, that's why we call it NFU News. It's news from uncle. We also changed the format of the show a little bit. I had some feedback from some family members and from nephew here that it might be funeral just to get into the newsletter right away so that we can just rattle through some new stories right away at the top and then maybe take a deeper dive on some of the top stories later in the show. So that's what we're going to do. Yeah. Because the top stories can sometimes be pretty boring. Top stories can be somewhat boring, especially when uncle does a deep dive in a long discussion about it. Yeah. So let's kick it off with the News Blitz. Could almost call News Blitz item number one, the new format. So straight on to News Blitz number two, cruise passenger rescued after 15 hours in the sea. It's a long time. So this guy was on on a cruise. You know what a cruise ship is, right, nephew? Yeah, it's a big old ship. Yes. A bunch of people, like on vacation or whatever, trying to see parts of the world. This guy is at dinner with people and he says to everyone, yes, I'm going to go use the john, I'm going to use the restroom facilities. And he disappears. Did he fall in? Apparently he fell in, yeah. How he fell in hasn't been really talked about yet. Are released as far as information. But he had been at the bar, let's just say that. Oh, boy. Perhaps he had a few too many. Perhaps 1s at some point he goes into the goes into the drink. 15 hours later, they found him. The Coast Guard found him with one of their helicopters and they rescued him. 1s So happy ending to that. That's good stuff. Yeah. Can't imagine those two easy swimming when you're drunk. Oh, and yet he survived for 15 hours. That's a long time. Yeah. That's really draining, I'm sure. Yes. Keeping your head above water for 15 hours would just be exhausting. And in freshwater, too, like all the animals there. I don't know for sure if it was freshwater, but he was on
