Mary & Karen discuss the term "gaslighting" and how it's surfaced in their lives. They've been gaslit, they've been the gaslighter and they come to realize that we can often gaslight ourselves.

Here are the takeaways:

  1. Beware of gaslighters. Call them out on their lies. Write things down as they happen so you have a log to refer to if needed.
  2. When you hear anything that sounds like, “it’s all in your head” pause … and stand your ground.
  3. Don’t give others the power to manipulate your thoughts.
  4. If you’re being abused by a gaslighter, don’t engage. Get away.
  5. Your opinion matters.Listen to your gut. If something feels wrong, it probably is.

And Above all, don’t gaslight yourself!
