Well, friends the time has come to raise the roof and have some fun. In a surprise turn of events, I find myself having to move to a new location in a new state. Didn't see that one coming. And it doesn't involve the witness protection program. So, this show will be my last for a couple months until I can get settled and record again. No doubt you'll do well without this goofy little podcast but stay tuned. New adventures await!

Hi my friends. I'm preparing for a possible life change so my schedule my be a bit wonky the next few months. I'll still be communicating though. Bear with me. In the 70s I found Jesus in a head shop in Knoxville, Tennessee. I spent the next thirtysomething years looking for him and finally found him surrounded by nekkid women. Listen to the episode for the details. See you soon.

Hi friends! I have this idea for a podcast where the host spends some time away and then comes back and apologizes. Over and over. I predict it will be a national hit. Hope you are well. See you again real soon.

It's Valentine's week — and what better time to talk about a broken heart? Specifically, MINE.

After months of trying to figure out why my heart rate was slowing down, I finally learned the real cause wasn't medication… it was a heart rhythm issue that required a pacemaker.

Yes, I now officially have advanced bionics.

In this episode, I talk about:

  • Discovering bradycardia and heart rhythm problems
  • Meeting the third cardiologist who finally listened
  • The decision to get a pacemaker
  • Facing my fear of anesthesia
  • What it feels like to come out the other side

SPOILER ALERT: I didn't die. Which means I'll be back next week.

Hi my friends — yes, I'm still alive.

I've been working my way through some new medical nonsense, but I finally got this episode finished, and I'm hoping that means I can keep things moving again. In this one, I talk a little about what I've been dealing with lately, my renewed appreciation for both new and old writing, and the strange experience of dodging icicles and frozen trees like it's some sort of low-budget action movie.

I hope you're doing well out there. Let's try to meet up again next week.

Now that those bothersome holidays are over it's time to get down to the real work of creating podcasts again. And this episode hopefully will give you a new goal for the rest of 2026. Maybe even for the remainder of your life. And who know how long or short that'll be. Let's concentrate on right now, okay? Happy New Year, folks.

Speeding closer to Christmas and here I am watching Pandas have sex. Is that wrong? Then why are they showing it on my TV?? We're a couple weeks from Christmas and I'm just not feeling it this year. I'm already planning for next year. I want to talk to you a bit about artist consciousness vs sports consciousness and how those affect out society. Don't worry, it won't hurt. See you next week.

Hi friends! Hope all is well on this Thanksgiving week. Often the key to being thankful is just learning to navigate through change and come out unscathed. We're all not that lucky. Hope you are one who is. Now go eat lots of food and I'll see you next week.

Hiya Outfluencers! Welcome to episode 130 of the show. It's a nice round number and a pretty cool accomplishment. But unfortunately, all I got for you to celebrate is this new episode. It's circular celebration. Let's never speak of it again. There are a couple of words that are magic in making interesting things happen. I thought I'd share those words with you this week. I hope it doesn't get me into trouble. See you next week.

This week I've been clicking off chores and breaking eggs. Not necessarily on the same list, mind you. Have you noticed you listen to music differently as you age? In fact, your entire relationship with music changes as you get older. But that doesnt stop tribute bands. They're showing up by the dozens. I wonder if they get tribute groupies. I'll bet they do. Let's consider that until next time.

Welcome to episode 124 and welcome to May! It's all going by so fast! This week I ponder moving to Tampa Bay in order to save my life. Also, I remember back to the days when I sat in the office of a retired professor who told me I should self-pleasure myself. Ah, memories. The Outta Toon Tune Up this week challenges you to get outside your box and, of course, we discuss many more things which we'll all forget in a few days. Take care of yourself and come back next week.

This week we discuss more about the things that make creativity difficult and why it's so hard being an artistic person. We all know about these things, right? I hope it's not just me. This is my birthday week so come on over for some cake and beer. In the meantime, let's chat again next week when I'm much older and wiser. Unless you don't show up and I have to drink all the beer.

I've been sheltered in place, writing a play. More about that later. But I've also been watching trees fall which is kinda fun. If you aren't watching "The Americas" narrated by Tom Hanks, its quite enjoyable. Give it a spin. Other than that, I've been listening to new music and turning down young women begging me for sex. So what's new with you? See you next week.

What's the deal with the reality show The Baldwins? Are people watching this? Is anyone waiting to find out what secrets are being hidden in Alec Baldwin's immediate family? I have to admit, as a Baldwin, even I really couldn't care less. St. Patrick's Day is happening very soon and it's a great time to sniff a variety of booze. Shall we? You know I'll be there. Did you know you could fall into a life of crime depending upon your name? It's true. I examine who you know that might be a criminal based solely on their name. That's it for now. Let's talk again next week, okay?

Does that symbolize that I'm creating a new atmosphere or covering up something? Perhaps I'm trying to cover up instead of accepting? I'm been reading and seeing a lot recently about how we become invisible to people as we age. Am I avoiding? Let's chat about it. Thanks for dropping by.

Nice to be back, my friends. It was a little forced vacation as I dealt with the earth trying to shake me off of it. I'm not so sure it has ever really been comfortable with me. Hey, I recently read about the Aghori sect of Hinduism and it made me think about a philosophy I developed back in my 20s which I call "The Gospel of Blasphemy." The Aghoris are very unorthodox and unusual. Quite blasphemous if you can't handle the taboo. A bit creepy. A good group to reseach as we approach the season of haunts. I've also been obsessing over a pop-electronica band called Venus Hum. Maybe you know about them. They've been around for 25 years or so. I'm just now discovering them. Story of my life. Help me out. Let's do something fun that doesn't involve sacrificing small children again. Authorities say we have to stop that kind of activity. See you this weekend, folks. I'll be naked in ATL with an icy beverage.

Welcome to a rare video show, my friends. You don't have to watch the video version but it's there if you want it. I'm updating my term for the short generation between Boomers and Gen X, of which I am a part. Pay attention and start using the new label. I've been sleeping in the rain the past few days. Sort of. It's relaxing so join me, won't you? Have you ever lived in a stinky city? I think I've lived in more stink than most. Let me know if you can top my impressive stink resume. Why is it people want to crap on the things that give us pleasure? It happens way too often, don't you think? Let's do better. See you later this week.

Yesterday, storms moved through the south and made it very difficult to record a podcast. So here we are today. Been awhile since I shared a beer with you so I hope you don't mind if I crack one open today. I got to watch the Jason Isbell documentary Running With Our Eyes Closed last night. I really enjoyed it and it made me think about how challenging relationships can be. I've had some pretty stormy ones for sure. Like those storms of yesterday, moving in and throwing stuff around. Not fun. Okay, I'll see you later this week. Let's try to do a video.

Happy Episode 60 everyone! Hope you have a good holiday. Me? I'm still trying to get my life and home organized. It sure is taking awhile. How are you with trust? Do you trust people easily? I feel like I can learn a lot about trust from my cat. Celebrities are dropping like, well, celebrity flies. We've lost several the past couple weeks. The world is not as safe and secure as we have told ourselves it is. Hang on. It's a bumpy ride. See you next week.

So much in the news this week! Controversy about small towns and country songs, insane Presidential news, and social media craziness. How can we be blamed for wanting to watch it all? Just remember, distractions are simply other people stealing your life. Do you really want to give them that much control? Personally, I'd rather not. Stay alert. Don't give your life to idiots. Unless you want to, of course. I don't want to tell you what to do. Thanks for tuning in my friends. Let's hang out again later this week.

I'll let you know a story about the closest I've come to cheating. Was it cheating? I don't think so. Let me know if I'm wrong. Hope to hear from you. Enjoy your weekend, friends!

Hi friends! How's your summer so far? How long will you wait for a table at a restaurant? That's kind of a personal research question. I think I waited too long this weekend. Thinking about all of the things we do to make ourselves happy but what are your essentials? What are the things you can always rely on to make you the happiest? I have recently felt some resistance when asked by friends who wanted to be called by different names or recognized as a different gender. What's that about? I do some examining of my own acceptance. Stop and say "hi" this week. I'll talk with you soon.

Okay, I think we're ready to get back on schedule here! I told you the last week would be a rough one and it was. I wasn't able to get a show up and the first of this week was tight as well. Good news is, I should be back on the original schedule next week! So here's a little shorter show for you about fireworks, anxious dogs, yard sales and stuff. So much stuff. Want to buy some stuff? See you next week, friends!

Thanks to listener Gary, we have a new scoop on the lack of grape ice cream (See what I did there?). Unfortunately, I don't buy it so I still want some real answers. Also, I go on a little spontaneous rant about a video I saw about Christian philosophy. Is this something really needed? I guess some people need it. I just wish they would put all of their energies into getting us some grape ice cream.

It's a great cool breezy day in the ATL. Rare but I'll take it. As I get older, I'm concerned more and more about ageism. More specifically, what can everyone be doing out there to make my old man life much easier? It's something we all should be focusing more on. I have a great idea for a new podcast which I have decided to completely turn over to you. Seriously. Go do it. Make millions. Just give me a shout out, okay? I'll talk with you again later this week.

I had some great Korean food last night. Hope you did too. By the way, what makes food "Asian" if it's cooked in America? By a Latinx? All I know, it was really good stuff. So, Pat Robertson's dead. If you don't know who that is, he was a TV preacher who was apparently so scared of gay people, he thought they caused hurricanes and earthquakes and other world calamities. Not sure if they were responsible for his death but if so, it would be a great thing to add to your gay wizard portfolio. We'll talk next week. Don't forget to stay in touch.

Greetings Apocaleptic fans! How are you so far this week? I've got so much happening in June: closing down my gallery, starting new ventures, being called for jury duty and a non-stop coughing dog. It's all the things I asked for last Christmas. I didn't do a second show last week because... well, let me explain. I've been thinking about stuff. It's all a bit spooky and metaphysical and I didn't want to freak you out. So, I'll just freak you out this week. Thanks for listening. Stop by and say "hi" sometime.

Happy Memorial Week, friends! We're halfway to the holiday season so hang on! I'm concerned about our pets. The way we treat them, the things we feed them, the hats we force them to wear. If you're like me, you love your little (and huge) ones and want to give them the best to keep them happy and healthy. If you could make their lives better, wouldn't you? That's what I thought. Me too. Let's talk again later this week, 'kay?

I've gotten hooked on a new ID Show about sexual predators. I didn't want to get into it but it turns out to be pretty interesting with some very good investigation. Plus it's nice seeing those creeps put away for awhile. So, how do you limit yourself? Are you aware that you do it? I think we all limit ourselves to a certain extent but do you do it more consciously or unconsciously? Gonna try to stay conscious of my own limiting. Hey, let's chat later this week.

Just got back from a physical. Getting probed and prodded can make a man feel tired, y'know? When you experience depression have you noticed if the cause seems to be a particular even or is it more of just being overcome by chemical imbalance? I'm curious. Let me know. I was thinking about death this week and had an interesting idea about it. Is it possible we don't die when we die? Let me explain...  See you soon, my friends.
