Ken Buck has announced that he will not be running for reelection. In fact, he will be resigning from congress, effective on March 22nd. He wasn’t subtle about his reasons for leaving, either, as he specifically named the incompetence of Speaker Mike Johnson. More and more Republicans are “bucking up” and standing against the MAGA movement, and the Republican majority is slowly dwindling.
In yesterday’s Georgia primary, a staggering number of people voted for candidates other than Trump, despite the fact that he’s the only real remaining candidate. Over 80,000 people voted against the former president, which may be a good sign.
Finally, we wrap up today’s show with a clip from Jon Stewart’s Monday night program. He says that while everybody is entitled to their own beliefs, it simply isn’t patriotic to support authoritarianism.
