As the representative of Wisconsin’s 8th congressional district, he has toed the line of moderate conservatism and MAGA fascism. Most recently, he voted not to impeach Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas, demonstrating a degree of common sense. Apparently, Gallagher’s dissidence has led to enough pressure that he is backing down from his position of power.
