In episode 122 of our Live Music Production tutorial Mikas creates a Drum & Bass Tutorial song from scratch. We set up the BPM to 165, this seems to be a slow BPM for such a genre.

We begin by laying down a fat bass pattern that will set the tone for this track. We then mix it and make it a perfect fit to this track. We then replicate the pattern and add another layer to the bass full of LFO action.

Moving on we add a pad that is evolving in the background in true Drum & Bass TutorialFashion. We then add some elements to enrich the sonic landscape of this song. We then record a simple piano melody that will sit in the back of the track with some filtering.
