Dr. Osunde joins the podcast to talk about being a candidate for the 2023 University of Connecticut Alumni Trustee Election. From coming to UConn in 1999, Uyi bleeds blue and is humbled to take on a new challenge. Talking football, Easter dinners in New Hartford, leadership, and his love for mentoring kids, we discuss a friendship spanning 24 years. Dr. Osunde has made an impact wherever he has been and is determined to hit the ground running at the University of Connecticut. Talking to alumni daily, he listens, isn't just a face in the crowd and has built strong relationships he cultivated over time. On our visits to New Hartford, Uyi credits my mother for playing a role that led to pursuing a career in education. A true Renaissance man, having deep, philosophical conversations contributed to pointing Uyi in a direction where he makes a difference each day. He truly cares about young adults and providing lifelong guidance. Currently, he is Superintendent at Stratford public schools, along with being a CEO on the board of education, wherever Dr. Osunde has worked the results speak for themselves and success follows him. Leadership, determination, desire, work ethic, loyalty, integrity, combined with a fierce ambition, set Uyi apart from the other candidates. Dr. Osunde is thrilled to be nominated for such a special opportunity and has a vision to put his plan into action. Get your ballots in today, voting closes on August 26th.
