In the midst of hardship, some people think that praying or going to church will change their circumstances, but they later walk away from God because He didn’t do what they wanted Him to. As Pastor Ben shares in today’s teaching, God is not a genie in a lamp; he doesn’t follow this quid pro quo ideal. God, says Pastor Ben, wants your heart. He loves you and died on the cross for you so that you can live in freedom and joy as you walk with Him. And, though your circumstances may improve, knowing God is the goal.
