The Kingdom of God is characterized by love for others, not power over them. This is something we so easily miss in our sinful nature. This tendency was at play in the heart of the disciples. These men were privileged to interact directly with Jesus as He walked on earth - yet the disciples were preoccupied with power. As Pastor Ben will point out in today’s message, they were so focused on elevating Jesus into political power, that they missed the mission of love He had for them in the moment.
