The President of Spanish Soccer Federation, Luis Rubiales, resigned on Sunday, after he kissed a member of Spain’s women’s team – Jennifer Hermoso— on the lips after they won the World Cup in August. Spanish prosecutors opened a sexual assault case after Jennifer Hermoso said she felt “vulnerable” and a “victim of an attack” when he kissed her and filed a formal complaint. Female players said they wouldn’t play for the team until he resigned.
