In today’s scripture, Peter is writing to early Christians in encouragement. In the verse just before, Peter explains that people stumble because they do not obey God’s Word. However, as Christians, we are God’s chosen people and his own possession. Our call is to display the goodness of the Lord and his righteous ways to all, for Christ has illuminated our once dark lives and has graciously allowed us to see his beauty and glory.
