Because of his close relationship with his Father, Jesus’s discernment was sharp and fine-tuned. He was determined to do what he saw the Father doing and to be about the Father’s good will. He walked on earth spiritually aware, alert, and guided by the good graces of God’s kingdom. He knew how and when to respond to each situation he came upon.
