Day 142 — “Kindness to the Broken”
📖 2 Samuel 9
David could have forgotten Mephibosheth, but covenant love does not forget. Instead of judgment, David offered mercy. Instead of rejection, he gave restoration. Mephibosheth came broken, fearful, and undeserving—yet he was welcomed to the king’s table.
What a picture of God’s grace toward us. We come with our wounds, failures, and weaknesses, but through Christ we are invited in, not cast aside. Grace does not merely rescue us; it restores our identity and gives us a place to belong.
Big Truth:
God’s kindness reaches the broken and restores what others overlook.
