Day 55 — A Golden Calf and a Broken Trust
📖 Exodus 32

While Moses was meeting with God on the mountain, Israel grew impatient in the valley.

What began as waiting turned into wandering.
What began as uncertainty turned into idolatry.

Exodus 32 reminds us how quickly impatience can distort worship. When God feels distant, we are tempted to manufacture something visible. Something controllable. Something immediate.

The golden calf wasn’t just rebellion — it was misplaced trust.

Impatience often pushes us to replace God with substitutes that feel safer, faster, or more predictable.

But the story also reveals something deeper: God’s holiness, the cost of broken trust, and the powerful role of intercession.

When we refuse to wait well, we risk worshiping poorly.

Today’s episode challenges us to ask:
• Where has impatience crept into my faith?
• What “golden calves” am I tempted to build when God seems silent?
• Am I trusting His timing — or manufacturing my own security?

God is not absent in the waiting.
And His presence is always better than our substitutes.
