I had Doc Victor on the radio show last night and it was one of my favorite shows I’ve ever done with him. We’ve done a lot of shows, probably 100! He just came out with his new book, and I really can’t speak highly enough about the way he tackled this topic of discipline. He shared some personal stories and victories that enable the reader to understand that when we want change, we must first encounter the power and love of God inside us. We can write down goals until we’re blue in the face, but if our identities are not transformed in Christ, it’s a process of internal strife. Jesus died so we wouldn’t have to strive like that. They speak about an event he hosted at a local movie theater to show a documentary following six high class prostitutes. His ministry is to help provide a way out for women who are being sex trafficked. This is a show to create awareness around this troubling issue.

Benjamin Victor, a Bakersfield native and son of Summit Bible College’s President Dr. Jeff Victor, is a renowned sculptor and the youngest artist ever to have a sculpture in our Nation’s foremost collection, the National Statuary Hall in the United States Capitol. Among many other achievements, he will be dedicating a beautiful monument he created to honor the Veterans of Kern Country. The ceremony is this Saturday, December 10th at 10:00 am at Jastro park. Caitlin has him on the radio program on Wednesday on 1410 am from 1:30-2:00. You’ll want to take a listen and attend the ceremony!
