Expressing your feelings when something bothers you is crucial for mental and emotional well-being. Embracing transparency cultivates a positive environment where individuals feel heard and valued, nurturing personal growth. It promotes open communication and fosters healthier relationships. Speaking up allows you to assert boundaries, leading to greater self-respect and understanding. Bottling up emotions can contribute to stress and anxiety, while sharing concerns provides relief and potential solutions. While this may not be an easy task accomplish, it is necessary for emotional maturity.

While I do not have this mastered by any means, I am getting better and thus getting emotionally healthier.

There is reason why your relationships are stained and it isn't always the other person's fault. Failure to give people grace can lead to strained relationships, misunderstandings, and resentment. It impedes empathy and mutual understanding, fostering negativity. Granting grace allows for compassion and forgiveness, fostering healthier connections and promoting personal growth for both individuals involved.

Do you give people the same grace you ask God for?

Have you ever wondered why every action, no matter how small, has a consequence? From the personal decisions we make to the societal shifts we witness, there's a ripple effect that shapes our lives. Consequences are not perfectly timed. Did you know, for the most part, you won't know exactly when consequences are going to take place whether they are good or bad?

There are people in the world who are utterly shocked at consequences for actions.

On this episode, join me as I navigate the labyrinth of cause and effect, uncovering the reasons behind the existence of consequences. We'll unravel the mysteries of personal responsibility and how our choices influence our growth.

On this episode of Tips and Tricks Podcast, I talk about what it takes to find guidance, direction and clarity. There were times in my life when I felt lost and uncertain about my path in life. I was burdened by the constant noise of my daily life. I decided to challenge and confront the turmoil I was feeling. This journey was filled with darkness and rain. But I pushed forward. I ran. I refused to be stopped. It was at that point that I ran right into danger. I faced self doubt. I consulted with family and friends. I listened to motivational speeches. I did everything but the one thing I should have done.

Tune in to this episode to hear about a real-life storm and how I found clarity in the midst of confusion. I realized that finding clarity required me to be still amidst the chaos. Instead of fighting against the storm, I learned to surrender to its power. I anchored myself, both literally and metaphorically. There were moments when I was tempted to escape the storm. The noise of doubts, distractions, and societal expectations tried to drown out my inner voice

But I learned a life hack! Enjoy this episode! May it pour in to your soul as intended.

I believe the next Elon Musk is a 7 year old girl who can't afford a communication coach, so it's my duty to help her succeed with my free resources." - Brenden K.
After many years of doing presentation case competitions (think professional sports for nerds) in university, I accidentally developed a skill in helping others communicate effectively and started the YouTube channel MasterTalk because I realized that everything I was teaching them wasn't available for FREE on the Internet. I heard a ton of advice that didn't make much sense like "be yourself" or "get up on stage" or better "imagine everyone in their underpants". I pressed record on my phone, started filming videos on communication in my mom's basement and now the goal is to help everyone master this important skill.

I've also been featured on over 500+ podcasts including John Lee Dumas' Entrepreneurs on Fire.

In 2013, Rich began to dabble in silent prayer, a term that’s often used as synonymous with centering prayer. He had heard and read that silence can transform you. He wanted to experience this transformation too.

He forced himself to sit in silence. He began to test how long he could sit there. He started with one minute and increased it to three and even four minutes. It was difficult!

Silence and silent prayer are counter-cultural. They are very challenging to cultivate because everything in our culture seems to point in another direction. Yet, surprisingly, it is in silence that he has has found profound transformation. And that is the motivation for writing this book. He wants to share what he has discovered.

He publishes weekly meditations, book reviews, and interviews on his site, "Silence Teaches". He has published articles for a number of organizations, including Contemplative Light, Abbey of the Arts, Contemplative Outreach, EerdWord, In Search of a New Eden, the Ordinary Mystic at Patheos, and the Contemplative Writer.

On this episode, Rich and I connected as talked about purpose, noise and when it all becomes to too loud. Finding your purpose is often rooted in finding yourself. We talked about how hard it can be to find yourself, when everything around you is telling you to listen to them. Tune in as Rich shares his secret of Silent Prayer and how it changed his life.

On this episode of Tips and Tricks, I speak with Author, Coach, Educator and Entrepreneur Chancellor (Chance) Jackson. Chance doesn't just let things happen, he looks for various platforms to expand and unpack deep topics and discussions. His unique perspective will provoke critical thought, growth and understanding in a variety of ways. Chance has written two books, "14 Days in Beijing', An Unforgettable Tale of My Experience Being Locked-Up Abroad in China", "You Love and You Learn" and "Real Love Never Dies": A romantic drama about a man's journey of gaining emotional intelligence. Writing is a late hobby of his but his experienced life suggested that he needed to share and shed light. He has ranked #1 best seller on Amazon over fifteen times since releasing his book "14 Days". He wants to keep the momentum going. He also coaches aspiring authors to turn their dreams into reality.

Chance and I immediately connected on a wavelength of peace and strength. This episode is a MUST if you think you can't get out of your "middle". Chances life and recent success should be a lesson to everyone that being stuck doesn't mean stopping and unfortunate situations are not made to break you but to build you.

(excuse the glitchy internet! Just means we have to run it back!)

On this episode of Tips and Tricks Podcast, we speak with Activists Susan Gabriel. Susan caught my attention immediately when she posted on her profile "I love to talk about God and what it's like to walk with Him every day." In a world where so many are afraid to talk about God, this was a rare find and I had to know more!

She made it through to the other side of misery after some intense experiences. These experiences gave her a perspective that can help others who may be struggling with difficult situations. She wrote a best-selling novel titled "Wheels of Injustice: Saving My Child from the Child Savers."

She also loves to talk about what God is currently doing in her life— her entrepreneurial journey led to an eclectic team of Bible-believing international creatives that Susan believes God brought together.

"We love and support each other and are excited to see what he has in store for us and our author service business called Soul Sonshine—because God's Son lights our path."

Tune in to this episode as we get down and dirty about the "system" and how children can become victims of systems that are supposed to protect them. We connected through our various experiences but there was a connection that existed straight from the heart.

Enjoy!

On this episode of Tips and Tricks Podcast, I speak with the Co-Founder and CEO and Nectir, Kavitta Ghai. Kavitta personifies excellence. Not only did she solve the issue of communication in her class, she also solved the issue of isolation on several college campuses across the U.S.

"The most important thing we can do in this lifetime is learn" says Kavitta. Her goal is to absorb as much knowledge as she can each day through meaningful experiences and apply it to her life in the best way possible. She has grown up in an era of complete technological transformation and had a front-seat ride in watching the world reinvent itself at the speed of light. Being raised in an entrepreneurial household taught me that changing the world isn’t as easy as it looks, but with resiliency and luck, it’s possible.

She is currently working on Nectir, a social platform for education that encourages collaborative learning through connecting students in the same classes. After seeing communication between students become an issue on campus, the idea of Nectir was born to solve it.

Join us as we get chatty and engage in lots of tech-talk! But tune in as we discuss hard-hitting lessons and how many "no's" you may hear before ever getting a "yes". This episode is about the power of perseverance and what can happen when you don't quit.

On this episode of Tips and Tricks Podcast with Destination Coach Danielle Shelton we get into murky waters. I am saying things like "God" and "Jesus" and I am challenging the notion of Manifestation.

As suicide rates continue to rise, I realize there is also a rise in people feeling as if they have no purpose and thus have no reason to exist.

Did you know that God doesn't always say "Yes"?

Did you know that sometimes "No" is the better option?

Did you know that tragedy doesn't mean you have to end it all?

The problem with Manifestation is we never tell ourselves "no" to our desires. And when a "no" happens, we are devastated.

Tune in to this hard hitting episode to uncover the truth behind the seductive lie.

Umoja (oo-MOH-jah) or unity i1s celebrated on Day 1 of Kwanzaa. The black candle, placed right in the middle of red and green candles in the Kinara, is lit on the very first day of the festival. It marks the commencement of the festive season. The person who takes the responsibility to light the candle makes a statement about the first principle.  All the family members should listen to the statement and understand it in a way that all of them can explain the doctrine and its meaning.

The Umoja (Unity cup) filled with fruit juice is passed to all the members present in that congregating spot.

Some of the families use a Unity cup for every member present where as some just like to keep a Unity cup in the centre of the Kwanzaa table. After the ceremony of sharing fruit juice is over, the candles are turned off till the very next day.

Dr. Maulana Karenga, professor and chairman of Black Studies at California State University, Long Beach, created Kwanzaa in 1966. After the Watts riots in Los Angeles, Dr. Karenga searched for ways to bring African Americans together as a community. He founded US, a cultural organization, and started to research African “first fruit” (harvest) celebrations. Karenga combined aspects of several different harvest celebrations, such as those of the Ashanti and those of the Zulu, to form the basis of the week-long holiday. Kwanzaa 2021 will take place Sunday, December 26, 2021 through Saturday, January 1, 2022.

Kwanzaa History The name Kwanzaa is derived from the phrase “matunda ya kwanza” which means “first fruits” in Swahili. Each family celebrates Kwanzaa in its own way, but celebrations often include songs and dances, African drums, storytelling, poetry reading, and a large traditional meal. On each of the seven nights, the family gathers and a child lights one of the candles on the Kinara (candleholder), then one of the seven principles is discussed. The principles, called the Nguzo Saba (seven principles in Swahili) are values of African culture which contribute to building and reinforcing community among African-Americans. Kwanzaa also has seven basic symbols which represent values and concepts reflective of African culture. An African feast, called a Karamu, is held on December 31.
