Mitzi Campbell is an English professor and host of The Blessons Podcast. She is a mother of three and experienced first-hand the devastating effects of her mother's severe depression and subsequent battle with cancer.

Mitzi Campbell's life changed drastically when her mother's traumatic childhood resurfaced, turning her life into a downward spiral. Mitzi, a young mother of three, had to take on the role of caretaker for her mother, who suffered from depression and paranoia. However, her mother's condition worsened, and she was diagnosed with lung cancer. Despite her pain, Mitzi tried to lead a happy life for her young children, burying her grief and using shopping as a coping mechanism. When her mother passed away, Mitzi was left with the realization of her mortality and the strength of being a motherless daughter.
