In Genesis Chapters 1 through 3, God creates the world and all its inhabitants. He creates Adam and Eve and places them in the Garden of Eden, but they are eventually banished from the garden after disobeying God's command not to eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. As a result of their disobedience, they experience shame and the difficulties of childbirth and hard labor. Ultimately, Adam and Eve are separated from God, and God begins his plan for salvation for mankind.
