Job 38-39 is a dialogue between God and Job, in which God responds to Job's complaints about the suffering and injustice he has experienced. God explains that He created the world and all that is in it, including the forces of nature and the beasts of the field, and that Job is not capable of understanding the reasons for these things. God questions Job's ability to govern the world and to control the forces of nature, and asks Job if he was there when the world was created. These chapters serve to remind Job of the power and majesty of God, and to humble him in the face of God's sovereignty and wisdom.
