Always remember God loves you, and in Christ, you're indestructible!
Dear Friends,
I wasn’t planning to record this message when I did. But after reading my Bible, I developed a desire to do so. Then, the Lord encouraged me as I taught. I love the way He works.
Romans 7:6 reads,
But now we have been delivered from the law, having died to what we were held by, so that we should serve in the newness of the Spirit and not in the oldness of the letter.
That phrase, “serve in the newness of the Spirit,” captured my attention. So instead of forcing myself to plod through the list in my planner, I decided to move in the most inspiring direction: creating this video.
Perhaps you need encouragement because life hurts.
I understand because I’ve been there. In fact, in the early morning hours before I recorded this message, tears burst onto my face.
Maybe you’re dealing with a spirit of heaviness that you can’t escape.
If so, please take time to watch this video. Or even just listen. Because the Lord will lift your spirit as you look to Him and His Word.
He’s just that good.
Thanks for being here — I surely do appreciate you. And may the Lord speak to you in marvelous ways that resonate deeply.
In Christ’s Love,
P.S Are you reading Closer to God? Praise the Lord, it’s receiving great reviews. And when it gains 50 on Amazon, it can reach more readers. I’d be so grateful for your help. Thanks!

Dear Friends,
I wrestled with whether to publish this video. Because the more I considered it, the main point of the message seemed like a no-brainer. Like really, of course you should speak up in the type of situation presented.
But then I received feedback on another platform.
One of my YouTube viewers commented about how much this message meant to them. Wow. I was blessed and encouraged. Glory to God! And I was emboldened to move forward with sharing the video with you today.
Do you struggle with fear and timidity?
This message is for you. But even if you don’t find it difficult to speak up, Acts 23 holds truth for all to contemplate.
May the Holy Spirit speak to you through this obscure biblical account.
He knows what each of us needs and when. God’s Word contains treasures for us to discover daily, and I pray that this podcast episode will resonate in all the right places.
To God be the glory forever and ever!

“The steps of a man are established by the LORD; And He delights in his way. When he falls, he shall not be hurled headlong; Because the LORD is the One who holds his hand.” Psalm 37:23-24, NASB
Dear Friends,
Last week I wrote about how to make hard decisions and possess peace afterward. Well, I realized it might be helpful to share that basic information in video format.
Because people consume content differently.
I enjoy tuning in on YouTube while I cook or clean around my home. For me, it’s not really about watching — just listening. And I seem to find interesting material in my YouTube feed.
How about you?
Where are you most likely to consume content? Do you prefer reading, listening, or watching? Today’s technology offers many options, and Indestructible Life is available here on Substack as well as YouTube, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and more.
I hope you’ll tune into this message even if you read it last week.
Because the Holy Spirit added thoughts I never even intended to share. Don’t you love how He does that? So, this video really serves as additional content to last week’s post.
And I pray you are richly blessed.
Thanks for your interest and prayers. Sometimes the writing life can feel a bit lonely (although I don’t feel that way right now 😊), but having you to share with provides constant encouragement. May you sense God’s presence whenever you take time to visit my site. I so much appreciate having you here.

Dear Friends,
These days, it’s tough to set aside time for Indestructible Life. Multiple ministry items almost crowd it out, but praise the Lord, He enabled me to share this latest message on Rahab.
Her story relates to you and me.
What? You might be wondering. Rahab’s life differs so much from mine. We don’t share anything in common.
But wait a second.
As you tune into this episode of Indestructible Life, you might find that one or more aspects of Rahab’s experiences compare to yours. Either way, this message highlights how a transformed life starts.
And God finishes what He begins.
“being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.” Philippians 1:6, NKJV
Are you wrestling with past baggage?
Let Rahab’s story renew your hope. Contemplate the way God worked in her, changed her, and used her.
Learning from her life will equip you in yours.

Dear Friends,
Whew! I can’t even begin to describe how enormously difficult it has been to make this video available. I’ve been creating videos for years, and this one ranks right near the top (if not the very top) of most challenging to post.
But, God. He is amazing!
After hours and hours of working on this video, my eldest son, a computer genius, helped me. Of course, it didn’t take him hours upon hours, but oh my goodness, I am thrilled. To God be the glory.
Perhaps you’re in a spiritual battle?
Please tune into this message on Ephesians 6:10-18. The Lord always encourages us through His Word, and I can say from experience that we need to wear the armor He provides.
God is the Victor—yesterday, today, tomorrow, and always.
As we suit up according to His design, we will win over and over again. Let’s remember to put on truth, righteousness, the Gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God. And let’s pray in the Spirit over everything.
God’s Armor works.
“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” Isaiah 40:31, NIV

Dear Listeners,
Welcome back to Indestructible Life! And if you're tuning in for the first time, please know it's a joy to have you. In this episode, we'll gain valuable truths for everyday Christian living. Colossians 3 teaches what it looks like to put on the new self, and it explains how we benefit from doing so.
Are you tired of reacting in ways that leave you feeling badly? It doesn't have to be like this anymore. We don't have to respond how we used to before we knew Christ as Savior. HE has made each of us "a new creature" (2 Corinthians 5:17).
Though it's easy to live in ways that rise up naturally, let's cast off the old self and its useless, sinful flesh patterns. As we put on the new self, we'll experience freedom and joy as never before.
In Christ's Love,
Emily💕

Dear Listeners,
It's a joy to meet with you again on Indestructible Life—thank you for joining me for a look at Ephesians 6. While this portion of Scripture contains wisdom and instruction for various aspects of life, we're going to focus on how to stand firm against the devil.
Do you ever feel the pressures of Satan's schemes? Can you smell the lingering stench of his nasty breath in certain experiences you encounter? It's real. He's real. The evil one works to "steal, and kill, and destroy" (John 10:10). But we don't have to acquiesce to his manipulations.
God has provided His armor for our protection, and when we wear it daily, we'll achieve victory over the enemy. Praise the mighty name of JESUS! This message encourages and inspires us to get dressed God's way so we can stand firm against the devil.
In Christ's Love,
Emily💕

Dear Listeners,
Welcome to Season Three, Episode One! I'm so excited to try something new by reading Psalm 106 and commenting periodically throughout the chapter. Please join me in pondering truths the Holy Spirit brings to mind. He has a wonderful plan for our spiritual growth.
In particular, Psalm 106 references the many times God's people, the Israelites, forgot His work on their behalf. How could that be? He accomplished so much for them, yet they lost sight of His marvelous deeds and resorted to sinful choices. But oh, we can do the same thing over and over again.
This message calls each of us to remembrance. Despite life's challenges and no matter what we face, we must remember God's work in the past and present. Because when we remember His goodness, we're encouraged and strengthened for today.
Thanks for listening, and please share this podcast with your friends!

Dear Listeners,
Sometimes we struggle with purpose, wondering why we're here on earth and what God desires us to do for Him. Meet John the Baptist. He understood his God-given purpose, and he exemplified how to fulfill your purpose.
Fascinating details like John's miraculous birth, life in the desert, and diet of locusts and honey don't even compare to the extraordinary way God used him to prepare people's hearts for His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. John the Baptist inspires us to love and serve Christ more.
When it comes to fulfilling your purpose, do you feel passionate or powerless? May God use this lesson about John the Baptist to guide you more clearly on His chosen path for you. Because you have a purpose only you can fulfill.
In Christ's Love,
Emily💕

Dear Listeners,
Certain situations trouble us to the core, launching us into a place of struggle. We know God's Word is true ... but do we really believe the Bible applies to our circumstances? Filled with questions, doubts, and fears, we waffle back and forth. Peace eludes us. What do we do when it is hard to believe?
Today's episode, "Lazarus: Sick, Dead, Alive," covers this topic and more.
May God increase your faith and mine, teaching us from Lazarus's sickness, death, and life as recorded in John 11.

Thanks for tuning in. May the Lord bless you with freedom and joy through the application of His Holy Word.

Dear Listeners,
It's great to be together again, and today's message about Nicodemus really stretched me. I pray God uses it for His purposes in your heart, too.
Nicodemus's story might impact you in unexpected ways. A someone who enjoyed the honor and respect of many, it's interesting to ponder his purpose and manner of visiting Jesus. Their conversation and Jesus' subsequent teaching contain life-giving truths. God's Word never returns void (see Isaiah 55:11).

Dear Listeners,
Afraid and depressed, Elijah encountered God in a powerful way. And we can, too.
Elijah's story in 1 Kings 19 speaks into those deep places of the heart. Because life can be scary and painful, yet Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever" (Hebrews 13:8, NIV).
May the Holy Spirit comfort and encourage you as we peer into one of Elijah's worst - yet best - moments. If you need to be reminded God holds you in His hands and loves you beyond words, episode 7 is for you. Our God restores.
Thanks for listening and sharing this episode with your friends. Also, please leave a rating/review because that helps get this podcast in front of more women who need God's Word.

Oh, my friends,
Do you struggle with being a people pleaser? And do you just feel horrible when people misunderstand or judge you? If you can relate to these experiences, please listen to this message about Mary of Bethany. Her story in Matthew 26, Mark 14, and John 12 can help in more ways than one.
I'd also like to share the Scripture reference/verse for a thought mentioned in this episode. When I talk about Satan as the accuser of the brethren, I just discovered this description is found in Revelation 12:10. However, the verse about Jesus interceding for us is indeed in Romans: "Who is the one who condemns? Christ Jesus is He who died, yes, rather who was raised, who is at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us" (Romans 8:34, NASB). Amen! All praise to Jesus!
May the Holy Spirit teach and guide you powerfully through Mary of Bethany's worship and anointing of JESUS. May He use her example to inspire each of us toward a deeper devotion to our Lord. As the song says, He's "worthy of it all."
In Christ's Love,
Emily💕

Dear Listeners,
I can only wonder what God will do with this message because it's been a tremendous challenge to create this episode. But life is full of challenges, isn't it? And Queen Esther certainly faced her own set of difficulties.
From being an orphan, getting moved into the palace, and then risking her life to intercede for her people, Esther demonstrated her faith in ways that resonate with us today. Please tune in to learn more about her experiences, God's character, and truth for your life. Just as God used Queen Esther in mighty ways, He can use you.
And remember, God loves you! In Christ, you're indestructible.

Daniel: Wise, Compassionate, Humble
Dear Listeners,
Oh, I really hope you can make time for episode 4 because the Holy Spirit brought some amazing applications to light. I love God’s Word and the way it reveals unexpected truths that reach our very core. This message on Daniel holds much benefit for our lives today.
A Worthy Example
Have you ever considered Daniel’s example as he served the LORD in a foreign country? His faith and steadfastness still speak today, yet this remarkable man of God didn’t regard himself as noteworthy. Rather, he humbly approached situations with wisdom while compassion filled his heart.
The World Vs. God
In today’s world, humility isn’t valued, compassion springs from the wrong source, and self-serving people have discarded God’s wisdom. But the Lord of hosts, the one true God reigns. His wisdom prevails, and His compassions are new every morning (see Lamentations 3:22-23). Plus, the Lord Jesus Christ demonstrated profound humility when He walked this earth.
Relationship with God
Please join me in exploring Daniel 2:1-30. The dishes can wait, and Christmas gifts will get wrapped. Or, you can listen while you work 🙂. Invest 30 minutes into your relationship with God and see what He will do. He’s amazing! He loves you! And in Christ, you’re indestructible.
In Christ’s Love,
Emily

Mary: Inexperienced, Surrendered, Grateful
In episode 3 of the Indestructible Life Podcast, Emily Wickham considers the life of Mary, mother of our Lord. Mary's example provides inspiration as we desire for God to use us but often feel unqualified, and it teaches us the importance of surrendering to God's will in our lives. Also, Mary's gratitude toward God during her pregnancy with Jesus, the Son of God, shows us ways to express our gratitude to Him. Be enlightened, encouraged, and inspired in your relationship with God by tuning in to this message from the Bible.
