Are you a good singer, my friend?  I am not a good singer, or I don’t think I am.  I tend to sing at a low volume at church, so those around me can’t hear how poorly I sing.  This past Sunday, I sat next to a person I had never worshipped with before.  This person had a marvelous voice.  She sounded like an opera singer, and I am sure you could hear her beautiful voice all over the sanctuary.  The lady was a bit older than me and far from being shy.  After one of the hymns finished, she looked at me and said, “Honey, you can’t praise God by singing down in the basement, don’t be shy, belt it out.”
