In this episode we talk about biblical choices. This is the second category that virtues 5-8 of our "24 Biblical Family Virtues" fall under. The virtues contained in this category cover discipline, wisdom, self-control, and truthfulness.
With established authority, our choices can be made correctly if our hearts are aligned to the first four biblical family virtues. "A Christ-centered identify leads to Christ-honoring habits—and Christ-honoring habits reinforce a Christ-centered identity." Paul David Tripp in his book 'Parenting.'
Automatic good choices only truly come once a person has developed a relationship with Christ. Good choices can only be good if they're rooted in moral goodness, which we know ONLY comes from a good God.
Kids have to learn HOW to make choices. Parenting is practice—practice in correcting your child's attitudes and actions so they see how good choices reinforce the Christian faith.
