The presenter compares a person working on his or her mental health (and BPD) to a "mechanic working on a vehicle." The fact that Borderline Personality Disorder happens as a pattern and that humans are social beings who operate in patterns is explained. The need to make a paradigm shift in regard to how human emotions and behaviours manifest was highlighted, and why this can be so difficult to accomplish. The need to acquire vision (and the ability to "see" what was once unseen), tools, and understanding of the operations of mental health was emphasized.
