1 Samuel 16:15–23 NIV

One thing I found interesting about young David was that he could play the Lyre (musical instrument). We will find out later in his life he was a worshipper and wrote the Psalms some of which are songs. But at that young age he was a warrior and shepherd. It was interesting to see his interest in playing the Lyre.

But we see that it was this very skill - not being a warrior or experience shepherding that opened the door for him to enter the palace. A season he needed to prepare him to be king of Israel.

We may be wondering why we are in the positions we are or experiencing certain things in our lives, but they are all for a purpose. Every experience, every journey, and every road we take, whether rough or smooth, are all useful in bringing us to what and where God has planned for us.

God uses everything. There is nothing wasted. God has created the opportunities to fall into place with the skills, abilities, experiences, process and training we have gone through .

𝙅𝙤𝙡𝙖𝙎𝙥𝙚𝙖𝙠𝙨 is a short clip intended to grow and equip us in our trust walk with God. The current focus is on life's seasons. Life is in seasons - so it is important that we lean in and learn from the Holy Spirit. I am grateful that every episode is inspired by the Holy Spirit. I encourage you to learn with me.
