• Moderna Therapeutics, Cambridge, MA has shipped first batches of its CoVid19 vaccine to be used for clinical testing in April.  This vaccine was developed using a cutting edge genetic method employing messengerRNA that codes for Coronavirus proteins.  The mRNA triggers lymph node production of immune cells that attack the virus.  It will require a year of trials and testing before we have a usable vaccine.
• Other vaccines are in development: Novavax using spike protein as antigen; Sanofi Pasteur with work with US government; Takes and Evvivax in Italy.
