In this episode of The Your Level Fitness Podcast, I’m digging into the topic of confidence and how it truly develops. You’ve probably heard the advice that you just need to take action first and confidence will follow, but I believe that’s only part of the story. Confidence is a choice. It starts when you decide to believe in yourself, to trust that you will figure things out, and to lean into your own abilities before the action even happens.

From there, your actions become reinforcing proof of what you already know to be true, instead of being the only source of validation. We talk about how most of us already reinforce negative beliefs in our day-to-day lives, and how you can flip that by choosing to reinforce trust, self-belief, and confidence in the process you’re on. I also share how to handle the old thought patterns that inevitably pop up, and why creating a deliberate headspace and calm, consistent approach is key to making confidence your default.

This isn’t about waiting until you’ve “done enough” to feel worthy. It’s about choosing confidence now, in this moment, and practicing it daily as you continue your inside/out approach to health, fitness, and life.
