043 | Scheduling & Timeline

In the construction industry, scheduling and timelines can be extremely difficult to plan due to frequent changes and delays on job sites, such as weather conditions or material shortages. I struggled with scheduling in the past because I would provide specific dates to clients only to find that the project took longer than anticipated. This resulted in constantly updating clients and rescheduling, causing stress and frustration for everyone involved. To avoid this problem, I began to provide more general timeline estimates. Additionally, I started using a Gantt chart to help visualize and track my timelines. This was a significant improvement over keeping everything in my head, as it gave me more mental clarity and allowed me to manage my projects better.
