Plymouth Church of the Nazarene is a place where we want you to know that YOU ARE LOVED by us, but most importantly, by God. We exist to serve God, our community and the world. Celebrate Recovery is all about gaining freedom from every hurt, habit, or hangup that you may have...it is more than just addiction. Every Tuesday night Plymouth Church hosts Celebrate Recovery for anyone who is looking for freedom and wholeness in Christ. This service gives you a glimpse into what you experience during a large group gathering. All are welcome!

Many people have heard about Jesus. Maybe you’ve seen Him at work in your own life or the lives of people you know and love. Is that enough? What does an active life of faith really look like, and what’s stopping you from living it out?Let’s go verse by verse through 1 John 1 and learn to be led by love in community together.
In Luke 19:1-10, Zaccheus was looking for more than what the world offered, he was desperate for what Jesus offered, which is more fulfilling than anything else we can imagine. And Jesus didn't make Zaccheus come to him, Jesus went to Zaccheus. "The problem isn't that people stopped going to church, it's that the church stopped going to people."
What causes you to lose trust from someone? Can it be earned back? How quickly should we forgive? Even heroes of the faith like Paul and Barnabas had major trust issues. Let’s travel through the book of Acts to see God at work in the lives of ordinary, messed up, Spirit-filled followers of Jesus.
Setting the Table: The table can be the greatest tool to share the Kingdom of God. Who can you invite to your table and into your life?
We were privileged to have friend and fellow pastor of our sister church, the Chelsea Church of the Nazarene, lead us through our final service of Spring Refresh. Do we know how to lament? Jeff led us through Psalm 80 and how to walk with Jesus through grief and loss.

Setting the Table - In 2 Samuel 9 King David showed extravagant grace by inviting the grandson of Saul to his table. This grace was not required of him, but he showed it anyway. Jesus Christ showed us extravagant grace when he took our place on the cross to spend eternity with us. Have you accepted the offer to sit at the King's table? Who are you inviting to your table?
Doug, our Celebrate Recovery director, shared this powerful word on trust and vulnerability, and it is in those spaces that freedom and healing can begin.
Spring Refresh with Vince Flippo. Jesus said, "I thirst." The woman at the well needed the living water in her life. Do you thirst? Come to the water.
This week Pastor Matt took us into John 20:19-31, sharing that Jesus does not condemn or belittle us for our disbelief and doubts. Rather, he meets us right where we are and helps us in the midst of them. He then calls us to participate in his resurrection and announcing new life to all creation.
This Resurrection Sunday we looked deeper into Luke 22:54-62 and how "shame corrodes the very part of us that believes we are capable of change." - Brene Brown
This Palm Sunday we took a deeper look into Luke 19: 36-40 and dug into the why of worship. Who do you love? What's your identity?

This week we looked into the difficult parable of the Shrewd Manager. How much land does one man need? You cannot serve both God and money. Having more of something doesn't make you something more.
This week we dove into Matthew 25:14-30 and the parable of the talents and wasted potential. What has God trusted you with? Instead of being frustrated with what we've been given or comparing our bag of silver with our neighbors, it's our responsibility to use what we have been entrusted with and create Kingdom value with it.
This week we looked deeper into the parable of the unforgiving servant found in Matthew 18:21-35. "To forgive is to set the prisoner free, and discover that the prisoner was you." - Lewis Smedes
"Your words reveal your heart." This week we took a deeper look into Jesus' teaching from Matthew 15 about the heart and mouth connection.
How do you handle new? How do you handle change? This Sunday we looked at Luke 5:33-39 where Jesus talked about new cloth and new wineskins. If we are always looking backwards, we may miss out on what God is doing NOW.
From Luke 15:11-32, you find the parable of the lost son. However, this parable also has another name that emphasizes the character of God the Father, and we call it The Loving Father.
This week we took a look at the posture of our hearts through the parable of the 4 soils from Matthew 13. When Jesus speaks to us, do we hear with ears to hear and see with eyes to see, Jesus eyes; or do we hear only what we want to hear and see only what we want to see?
In 2024, Prepare, Hope and Live It Out. This year we are going to prioritize God's word, and prioritize Biblical community.
Hope in the Bible is very different from how we use the word hope today. We use hope in the context of something mildly bad that will probably happen, but we "hope" it doesn't. In the Bible, hope is a promise.
Think about the two extremes of confidence and humility as a teeter-totter. Two far either way is dangerous, but if you get them balanced and under control of the Holy Spirit, wonderful things can happen in your life.

Serving the Lord by serving people can be one of the most life-giving, purposeful rhythms you add to your daily, weekly, and monthly routine. Every single person is of incredible value to God and created with kingdom impacting potential and purpose. When you DISCOVER, DEPLOY, and DEVELOP your spiritual gift, you create a life of purpose and eternal impact that will outlast you.
Spiritual disciplines are a gift from God to keep us course correcting toward our destination. Maybe fasting isn't as much about what I'm giving up, but what I could be doing to help someone else.
Discipline is a 4-letter word to us sometimes, but putting into practice good, life-giving spiritual disciplines can bring freedom in all areas of your life.
Our spiritual disciplines, our practices of Jesus, our means of grace, are not just for us...In 2023, we have personal 24/7 access to God's Word at any reading level, and we've mismanaged that gift. Pastor Matt brought us the word from 1 Peter 1:3-9, emphasizing that our hope is in Jesus Christ and that hope can exist alongside difficulty, anxiety and mourning. Hope doesn't erase these things but gives us an assurance of God's love in the midst of them.
Pastor Dusty spoke to us from Matthew 15, emphasizing how important it is as followers of Jesus to be in community, and three areas we must connect in to live a vibrant life for Jesus.

Bible study Love Your Enemies - Do you let life just “happen to you”? What if we were more intentional and purposeful with what matters most: the relationships we have with those we love? But what about our "enemies?" Jesus raised the bar in Matthew 5 when he said "You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor and hate your enemy. ' But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven."
Do you let life just “happen to you”? What if we were more intentional and purposeful with what matters most: the relationships we have with those we love? This week we talked about being intentional in our relationships with our children. This week, Pastor Dusty shared Hannah's story from 1 Samuel and she prayed for God to give her a child and then gave him back to God when He answered those prayers. Did you know that money and finances are talked about over 2,000 times in the Bible? It is obvious that God has a lot to teach us about money, giving and our hearts.

Today we had a great discussion with Paul and Christy Austin, as well as our worship pastor, Heather Eastin, about finding our purpose within God's plan. How do you balance waiting on the Lord and taking initiative; what have you had to say "no" to so you could say "yes" to what's best; and where do you start?

God wants you to experience wholeness for your WHOLE self, including your mind. What do I do if I'm struggling with mental health? How can the church be a place of healing and wholeness for those who may be struggling?
Are you Peter, John or Mary Magdalene? All three have different personalities and backgrounds; some backgrounds harder than others. God can use whoever you are for the glory of His Kingdom if we surrender ourselves to Him.
What do you need to "Let?" What do you need to let God do and take control of in your life? A power driver can't do anything unless it's connected to a power source. Our power source is the Holy Spirit. Let's LET God...
Integrity to living an integrated life. We usually see integrity as following through with what you say you are going to do or just living a general moral life. An integrated life is integrating what you believe into your actions. It's more than words.
We are used to hearing the phrase "Love the sinner, hate the sin." We need to replace this phrase with a new one. "Love everyone, hate your own sin."
This week we were able to sit down with friend and worship pastor, Blake Easter, to chat and talk about the ins and outs of leading worship.

1 Who may worship in your sanctuary, Lord?
Who may enter your presence on your holy hill?
