With all of the focus on college admission, many high school parents long for the days of “shop class.”  What a lot of people don’t know is that the “shot class” is alive and well under a different name, and a more relevant philosophy. Now called Career Technical Education (CTE), elective classes that teach practical, hands-on, transferable skills are thriving in high schools all over California. So why don’t more people know what they are?
