Jesus is still explaining to there disciples how to love each other and others when He is gone. It is really hard when people aren't the greatest, but Jesus gives a new commandment to do it no matter what.
Jacob goes to Egypt, but Joseph protects them from the culture there bye sending them to Goshen. Do we have a place we can go to for refuge? Join us to find some ways to do this
Today, join us as we see Isaac get his wife. We will look at a man who is faithful to the mission God gave him and what we can learn from this. We see a woman who doesn't need all the fanfare to be obedient. Great messages for us as we serve our Lord.
As we continue through Genesis we will see the foreshadowing of the substitutionary atonement that saves us all. We will look at the story of Abraham being asked to sacrifice his son and how even though he was willing, God provided a sacrifice for himself. There are a lot of great lessons in here about faith and sacrifice.
Continuing our study in Genesis, Abraham and Abimilech make a treaty, but before they do there are some concerns they need to clear up. When we have problems with someone, do we deal with the issue completely, or do we still hold back some grudges? In a message titled "Laying it all on the Table" we will look at how the Bible says we are to deal with disputes and resolve them completely.
Abraham and Sarah have made some mistakes along the way in life, as we all have. Today as we study Genesis 21, we will look at the birth of Isaac and how they are supposed to deal with Ishmael now that the son of promise is here.
This morning we see Abraham goes into Merar and once again decides to lie about Sarah being his sister. He actually explains why and it's an important lesson for us; all about assuming the worst of others. Join us as study Genesis chapter 20 and grown through Gods word together.
What was the sin that caused the Lord to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah? It wasn't the just a sin, but the over-whelming evilness at practice in all levels of society. Why was Lot not effective in transforming the society in which he lived, so that when the he took a stand he was considered a hypocrite?
In Genesis 18 we discuss Sarah's lack of faith; what was the sin of Sodom and Gomorrah; and are we able to change God's mind as it appears that Abraham did with God?
During this week's sermon we explore the second half of chapter 17. Troy examines the blessing that is given to Sarai. Then he looks at who is to be the child of the Promise. And finally we look at Abraham's response to the Promise.
The story of Hagar and Sarai is one of abuse, promises, and a child of disobedience. Join us as we discuss how this story affects our Christian Life.
Sarai takes God's promise of descendants into her own hands? What happened when we try to force God's promises?
God promises a to Abram a shield, an heir, and a covenant. None of the promises are dependent on Abrams actions. How does this apply to us?
Look around at where you are. Don't be lured to grass that is greener. Because the grace that is greener is almost always sin.
What does it mean to live with God's Love? How are we to act? How do we allow His Divine Love to flow in our lives?
Abram demonstrates our human behavior when things get tough; we fall back into what is easy, which usually means sin.
How are we to respond to the sin of others? Are we to cast stones and mock the sin like Ham? Or are we to respond like Shem and Japheth and cover the disgrace?
What happened in Genesis 8? God remembered man; He dried out the flood; Noah waited for the Lord to release him to leave the Ark; God made a covenant with Man. Troy discusses how these things should effect our lives.
Today Troy discussed the boarding of the Ark. Who went aboard? Who did not? Where did the waters for the flood come from? Who and what was blotted out?
Today we discuss the preparation of the Ark. Who built it? What did it look like? What was in it?
Who were the Sons of God in Genesis 6? Were they the sons of Seth? What were the Nephilim? What was man's state of mind and heart that God regretted making him?
What are the generational impacts of how we live? How we live affects our children, grand children, great-grand-children.
We discuss the depravity of man. His depravity is illustrated by Lamech, a descendant of Cain, declaring that his wrath was 11 times greater than God's.
What was the issue with Cain's offering vs Able's? Able offered the first fruits of his labor while Cain offered what he had left over. It is a heart issue. Cain's response to God's rebuke is to kill his brother. Rather than turning from his sin, he allowed himself to be consumed by his anger. God's reaction seems harsh. But he reality he is extending grace to Cain. Cain is allowed time to repent and return to the Lord.
What consequences were consequences of Adam's sin? What is supposed to be the natural place of the man in the family? The man should not be abdicating his position of authority to his wife.
God covered the sin of Adam and Eve with the blood of a sacrifice, looking forward to the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross.
What are the consequences of sin? What was the serpent's punishment? What was Eve's punishment? What was Adam's punishment? What was God's prophetic covenant? Who does it point to?
The stages of sin are sharing deception, covering, and the blame game. Eve sinned first, but Adam is ultimately responsible. How are we to treat, as Christians, our brothers who sin?
What are Satan's methods to turn us from God? Deception, Division, Diversion, and Discouragement.
God created Eve because Adam was lonely. What is the relationship between man and woman? Master and servant or complementary workers?
Discuss the creation of man. The man was given jobs by God. We also discuss the evolutionary science of creation and radio-carbon dating.
What day are we to rest? What does it mean to take a Sabbath? For whom was the Sabbath made?
Creation of animals and Man. What's God look like? What is the "Imago Dei" or the Image of God? Who is Our? What does our dominion of nature look like? How are we to live in Harmony with nature? Who are we to reflect?
What was the order of creation? It is different than the theory of evolution postulates. Secular humanists still are asking, "Did God really say?"
God creates the Earth. Did God really do that? Why do we accept the resurrection, but doubt the creation?
2020 has been a rough year. Remember the Hebrews and the adversity that they faced in Egypt. God has a plan to bring you through the adversity.

The Church scares more people away from church than anyone else. Shareing the gospel is a simple act, but we complicate it. Keep it simple, share where you were before Jesus; share what happened when you met Jesus; share how your life is different now that you know Jesus.
