With a quick look back at Hebrews 11, we are reminded that for two millennia since Jesus walked among us, lived and died and rose for us, faithful men and women have contended for and contextualized the Gospel from generation to generation, and before them 40+ generations in chapter 11 trusted in God’s promises, watched and waited for their Messiah. Building on our faith in Christ, Hebrews 12:1-3 challenges us with the realization that is our turn as a community of faith to run the race, and with clear encouragement on how to run our best race.
