Britt Bergmeister is a Canadian model living in NYC. Between the ages of 12-18 she had the unique opportunity of living in Tokyo and when she was 18 she moved to NYC to pursue modelling full time. While here, she trained really hard with a personal trainer but she didn’t really value their methods. To her, they didn’t seem attainable for a long career, which she wanted. She figured it would be more about her health and what she was putting into her body so, she studied nutrition and loved it. She wanted to teach other models about it as well but found that that would probably include going back to school and getting another degree. Then, her mum came up with the idea to start a company cased of the “Off Duty Model” look. Around this time, we both attended a cool event for models hosted by Cameron Russell, about the platform models have and using that platform to create meaningful change the world. She formed her company ODM/ODC shortly after that and took a course in starting your own sustainable fashion brand, Factory 45. ODM/ODC continues to grow as she learns more about sustainability and ethical fashion.
