Detroit, MI located in the Midwest of U.S. in the state of Michigan. Originally named Fort Pontchartrain du Détroit by French settler Cadillac. The fort was eventually succeeded to Britain by way of war, and the name shorten to Détroit. Ford Motor Company, the Dodge Brothers, and others established the Auto industry 1903, which eventually put the Motor City on the map.
