Calves are the most stubborn, frustrating muscle in the body. Many people phone it in when it comes to putting in the work on their calves, but I maintain that the problem is effort, not genetics. Sure, genetics play a large role in how large you will be able to get your calves, but that doesn’t mean they can’t grow just like any other muscle in your body.
The Problem: People don’t dedicate themselves to growing their calves.
The Solution: Variety, Volume, Load
Here is a little routine I do when I get into putting some effort into my lower leg.
Round 1 – Repeat Twice
Hack Squat Machine Drop Set, cutting load in half each drop for 2 drops
Round 2 – Repeat Twice
(1x)Body Weight Standing Calf Raise Burnout with 3 Different Foot Positions (Toes Straight, Toes In, Toes Out.)
