The personal data sheet of Alex Flatner is a buzz famous projects, collaborations, labels and worldwide venues while he mostly remains the quiescent gentleman behind the scenes. Meeting him without knowing his remarkable stages of success would rather draw a picture of a congenial guy who has seen quite a lot of places worldwide and is convinced about himself but he rarely points out what he reached so far. To meet Alex is like seeing a long time friend and one would be quite surprised that Alex runs several prosperous labels, works as A&R manager, producer and DJ all over the globe.

Flatner's mode of pure understatement factors out several facts which have to be mentioned talking about a matchless track record in music business: Besides being A&R manager stuff like Harthouse, Plastic City and some more quality essentials and running his own imprints Gedankensport and Circle Music he has a broad ranged output taking course parallel to his full time multitasking business and travels throughout the countries every weekend. He released a fabulous mix CD (World Of Circle) linked with touring through France, India, Spain, Croatia, Germany, Poland and Russia.

Alex made a great effort signing artists as Sebastien Leger, Robert Babicz Valentino Kanzyani, Joey Beltram, Umek, Leandro Gamez, Bryan Zentz and Gui Boratto for his Circle Music imprint.

Being "stage director" and producer he has recently remixed Gui Boratto's "Atol", Terry Lee Brown Junior,s "Pulsar" or Steve Lawler's "Almerina", Märtini Brös (High On Heels) , Alejandro Vivanco's (Vita Jo) cooperates with the likes Lopazz, Anderson Noise, Joey Beltram, Ken Ishii, Santos, Einzelkind, Simon Baker and Reboot. Appeared on Sven Väth " In the Ninth Season" (Cocoon) or Loco Dice Compilation "In The Lab" and reached Beatport Top 20!

His current projects are the next release with Lopazz on Cocoon Recordings (MakeUpYourMind Remixes) with Jesper Dahlbäck, Steve Lawler, Dave Ellesmere, Sebbo and his next Release at Pokerflat Recordings (Steve Bug's Label) with Lopazz incl. remixes by Paul Woolford and Wareika !

On time to his 20th DJ jubilee, Toni Rios re-emerges in October with "Past & Present" his third overall longplayer. At least due to his residency, during the mid-ninties, at the legendary Frankfurt based Club Omen, he was already growing up at an early age to an international great demanded DJ with widespreaded tours around the globe. In fall 2009 he's able to look back on two decades of intense djing and producing. His new album "Past & Present" seize on his older and newer influences and reflect them in a way from his past twenty years. "Can see your smile" thematised house music with American flavour on a charming way. "Ocean Drive" is a tribute to the typical sound of Techno during the midninties which we remember from artists such as G-Man. In "White Emotions", Ron Trent is swinging unconsciously in the background, while "Incapaz de Parar" reflect Tonis original spanish roots. In between, you'll find the tracks "L.A.D.T.", "A Rosa" and "Laura". Three modern, groovy tracks, right for our modern era and inconclusive assignable to Techno or House music. Through catalogue # 17 we are again introducing a refreshing artist at Soap Records. Gene is from Tel Aviv and migrated to New York in early 2008. The three tracks on this EP indeed mark his very first release, even though the precision of individual sounds rather suggest an old studio stager. The longer side A - Goa Morning is about a distinctive spotlight with a bass line, as if especially made for the upcoming summer. It is almost needless to mention, that at least by the break, a grand art piece will be presented on the dance floor. The absolute contrary is – Finsternis ist tief (Darkness is Deep). This track is a perfect Rave tool! The sound of the sirens can be understood as reminiscence of Mathew Dear’s Audion Tracks. A second A-side, however, placed here as B1. On the other hand, with the B2-track – Moving Images, Gene displays his house-side and, applies the use of wind instruments in an extreme functional but not cheesy way. A truly diversified first release, prompting the revival of an old radio slogan: Remember where you heard him first. More about this young man soon on this channel.

Rick Nicholls and Asher Jones knew each other since their early youth, However, they only started producing together since 2007. With just a hand full of labeled singles and remixes such as Noir Music and Yellow Trail, their tracks have already been supported in a high-karat quality such as Laurent Garnier and John Digweed. Despite the fact that the Duo has so far remained widely undiscovered in Germany, this should now change with the new EP for Soap Records. At this point we can modestly say that the Duo clearly provides a solid Techno Hit with their side A Shameless. Shameless consists of a crystal clear bass wall, including the short but efficient vocal sample 'Shame' and additional rave signals. As for the finale, the good-olde 303 gets to also shine.
