Welcome to a show radically unthought-out but hopefully enjoyable all the same. Tanner, more affectionately known to the world(ish) as Hooby, has seen a minuscule number of films. This is a tragedy we have set out to fix and we hope you will take this bonkers whimsical journey with us. Thanks to the nature of podcasts you can walk at your own pace on this one.
This spin around we dove Hooby into the stunning and demented world of Mad Max: Fury Road, directed by George Miller.
This week we pseudo-introduced Hooby to one of the artists who had a heavy hand in paving the road to modern cinema: Stanley Kubrick. This is our reaction and breakdown of the seminal 1964 film Dr. Strangelove or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb.We hope you find us at least a quarter as funny as the legend Peter Sellers as you listen.
Stepping back from super acclaimed movies made by super acclaimed directors this week, Hooby was introduced to the film Live Die Repeat: Edge of Tomorrowfor a film that we believe deserves more attention.
As his first-ever entrance to the worlds of visionary Martin Scorsese, we showed Hooby the infinitely slick film Goodfellas.
To start this whole thing off, we have forced The Dark Knight Trilogy into Hooby's brain.
