Today we talk about what other loss mommas wished they knew in the year following their loss and what they wished others understood about child loss. Many bereaved moms recommend finding an in person support group as a way to connect with other loss moms or attending a bereaved mom retreat where you will be showered in love, spoiled, given resources to help you grieve and meet other amazing women in the club no one wants to join, with the highest entry price.

Today we talk about the importance of finding safe, like minded communities while grieving and processing loss. If that community is other bereaved mommas then wonderful, but sometimes that can be hard to find. Finding's others who are all too familiar with grief and understand loss can be a great place to start. As we can sit with those experiencing other types of losses and share our stories and feelings. Those you understand grief and mourning should be a safe place and have listening ears and kind hearts. Often seeing outside yourself in your own grief joinery can be healing and good for the soul as well.

On todays podcast we talk about how family and friends can support the bereaved parent. We give advice on  what to do and what not to do and the reason behind it. One thing I forget to mentioning todays podcast  is that it is unhelpful when parents complain about their living children to grieving families . For a bereaved parent they would truly cut off a limb to have those experiences that others complain about. It is important to recognize your audience and think before speaking so that you don't cause greater pain.  Stillbirth and  infant loss are taboo topics that are often overlooked in society. As a result these who care about the bereaved parents often do not know how to help or respond. My hope is that this episode will help shed light on how to support those grieving one of lives greatest losses and open the door to having the conversations needed to best support, love and be there for those going through the unimaginable pain of losing their precious baby.
