Let's have a closer look at what God had in his mind for humanity before we even died to sin. The gospel is the only way out of the mess that we got ourselves into and if not understood thoroughly it would be as if there never was a solution to begin with and we will always be in a maze.
The extent of the problem with humanity is deeper than the external elements. We are inherently evil, and this has separated us from our holy creator. If we don't get help, we are doomed.
