Our final Halloween Horror was a Boris Karloff Classic! Not quite as bizarre as Catwife… but close. In my recreation also produced with cast members from Ghost light Theatre, the characters have been gender swapped, names included, and are vocalised by Sandra Harman as Eve, Yasmin Elahi as Jo, and Gary Farmer – Trickett as Adam. I should advise this episode contains elements of horror that might not be suitable for young ears under the age of 15, as the story deals with a woman trying to bring back to life her husband who died in a car accident. However she has forgotten something VERY important..
Death Robbery was written by Arch Obler. Its starred the vocal talents of Sandra Harman as the Eve, Yasmin Elahi as Jo and Gary Farmer Trickett as Adam. Sound effects & direction sound were done by Nathan Schulz, other known as The Drama Merchant. Music used in this program is by Kevin MacLeod.

This recreation of an Edgar Allen Poe classic involved cast members from a local theatre group in Moreton Bay called, Ghost light Theatre! I had a blast recording & working with these individuals in this theatrical dramatization of a Poe horror classic.
Luke Lilly is our unknown narrator and friend Roderick Usher, voiced by John Stibbarb, who witnesses the destruction of The House of Usher. Other vocal performances are done by Gary Farmer Trickett & Sandra Harman. The Fall of the House of Usher was written by Les Crutchfield, based on the story by Edgar Allen Poe.
I should advise this episode contains elements of horror that might not be suitable for young ears under the age of 15.

This Halloween Horror is a personal favourite of mine. And first aired on the program Lights Out in 1930s. I had a blast creating the sound effects & vocalizing all roles in this melodramatic horror! It’s a simple story about two men being turned inside by... The Dark! It’s best heard with the lights off and I should advise this episode might not be suitable for young ears under the age of 15, as it contains elements of horror that might enhance a child’s fear of.... The Dark.

Welcome Ladies and gentlemen to the first episode of a new platform to The Radioplay Hour. I call it The Radioplay Hour – Workshop!
Our first workshop is written by Kit Sivyer, based on an idea by Nathan Schulz (The Drama Merchant), and begins on a plane, where you will the voice of our narrator as he guides us through the story of an Aussie bogan, a little old lady, and a pact with the devil to see an Ac/Dc concert.

The Radioplay Hour - LIVE : Miracle on 34th Street was performed to a live audience, with audience participation, at historic Bankfoot House, situated on the Glass House Mountains, Sunshine Coast, Queensland.
Unfortunately our original audio recording didn't work as well as we hoped, but we were able to use audio from video taken of the show. On this recording, which has been edited, you will hear the audience participate in creating some vocal sound effects and saying some lines. The radio show is based on the movie of the same name, which starred old time Hollywood stars such as Maureen O'Hara, John Payne, Natalie Wood, and Edmund Gwenn.
This years Halloween Horror is a recreation from an episode aired on the program "Quiet Please", on 22nd September 1947, called "Be a good dog, Darling". This recreation, about an encyclopaedia salesman, his wives, and a magical spell, stars the vocal talents (in order of appearance) of Nathan French, Imogen Saxton - Heine and Taylor Holmes.

Our final story for this season of Halloween Horrors was first heard in 1938 on a program called “Lights Out” and written by American playwright, screenwriter, novelist, producer, and director Arch Obler. Originally aired in 1938 and starring Boris Karloff, with an amazing vocal performance, The Cat Wife and was voted “the best” by listeners of the original program. The story revolves around a man who accuses his wife of being a big white heatless cat, with unexpected supernatural consequences! In our recreation of this radio play, the cast which consists of Sasha Cuhan, Noelle Criminova and Cameron Logan, who are also based in Melbourne, have reworked the script a little, for modern audiences, whilst retaining the atmosphere of this script.

Considered the most controversial play ever heard over the radio, since the infamous War of the Worlds broadcast in the 1930s, I decided to do something a little different and experimental so I
decided to try record the show in a “Blair Witch Project” / “Documentary” audio style with the cast performing around the house, and not always near the microphone with the exception of our narrator who describes the scene of a mother growing anxious as she watches her daughter excitedly play a game called Zero Hour.

When a man riding next to Candy Matson on a cable car is silently shot and killed, Candy does not know him from Adam and is considered a suspect! The only thing for her to do is to investigate herself! A progressive wisecracking private investigator operating in a male dominated world, Candy Matson was the brainchild of writer, director, and producer Monte Masters.

In this episode you will hear Giles Pendlebury interview our guest, before they lend their vocals to our production, and debut their song, “Blue like the Blue Sky”. They will also perform a cover of “Stop dragging my heart around” originally written by Tom Petty and Stevie Nicks

A cover song of Caledonia, written by Dougie MacLean and Alan Roberts, will be sung by Peta Simeon in the style of Celtic woman.
