An important difference between Homo sapiens and animals is that we have the ability to tell and believe fictional stories which enable us to collaborate on a very large scale. I love storytelling, but I’m also aware of how it can be used to normalize inappropriate behaviors and generating false stereotypes. Many false stories have been told about women and their capabilities, and many true stories of their accomplishments have systematically and intentionally been ignored.
