The process of healing is a highly complex phenomenon. Sometimes, the very reason people struggle to recover is that it is often difficult to know where to start. It is essential to understand that holistic healing is part of God’s plan for a more abundant life. 3 John 1:2 states, "Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth." Healing is a comprehensive process that addresses the mind, body, and spirit. In the book "Be Made Whole: The 5 Dimensions of Healing,” Eric Joseph identifies five dimensions of healing—spiritual, mental, physical, relational, and emotional— all of which are important to God for us.
Tonight's special guest, Tracy Buckley, will discuss how God's guidance made all the difference. We will share about having a renewed mind regarding food and exercise, and the road to success is just a made-up mind away!

We are smack dab in the middle of our Superheroes Series: Spiritual Superheroes and their Trusty Sidekicks!!! This series explores the nuances of mentorship and the benefits of shared goals. Mentors will not always get it right, and mentees will not always get it on the first try, but prayer and patience will go a long way in the mentoring process. Pastor Jerry Doss helped us understand the importance of prayerfully seeking God for your mentor and the value of not getting caught up in looks or images. Apostle K. Jevon Chambers shared candidly about the power of learning to serve before you can lead. There is power in sweeping the floor (LOL). He also reminded us of the importance of being patient with the process. Paul found himself frustrated with Mark, but Barnabas saw in Mark what Paul could not and developed Mark into an amazing leader, with whom Paul would later affirm. This week’s Spiritual Superhero is Pastor Liz Warneck. Together, we will discuss the Titus 2 woman and her mentorship relationship—you will not want to miss this opportunity, as cited in the episode! Mentorship shapes and defines us for purpose, while also helping us to embrace the stretching that God is doing in the moment. This stretching and guidance often produce the wisdom and maturity to use the God-given power and authority wisely, transforming us into spiritual superheroes.
However, mentorship is important to God, demonstrated throughout scripture, and essential to fulfilling the mission and kingdom of God. Join our Grace Crusaders every Tuesday in July, as we discuss the topic of mentorship utilizing spiritual superheroes and their trusty sidekicks from the Bible to enhance our lives and those of others.

Mission and Ministry can be found when and where you least expect it. Sometimes, a mission and ministry emerge from a specific life experience; other times, they result from seeing a need around you that tugs at your heart.
For Madeline Hild, this week’s guest for Tuesday Tuneup, it resulted from a firsthand understanding that sometimes moms need a hand to do all of the amazing things they do. Madeline shares about being drawn to the mission of working with moms who feel overwhelmed, overworked, and are in need of respite. It was a tug that she could not shake, so she, along with Dana, began a chapter of the Hot Mess Express, allowing her to be the very hands and feet of Jesus!

The Word of God is the source of our identity. It is where we can always see a reflection of who we are through Christ. It is the book of reminders—the reminder that we are fearfully and wonderfully made; the reminder that we are His chosen people; the reminder that we are joint heirs with Christ; and perhaps most importantly, the reminder that we are the redeemed of the Lord and therefore should be unafraid to say so!
In today’s episode, we will be introduced to a group of friends, whose identity was challenged through lineage through culture, but before we get fired up, let’s pray and prepare to get tuned up in the Word of God together.
Let's get tuned up in the Word of God together!
I ABSOLUTELY love the heart of God for His people! It is not enough to just restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish us, He takes it a step further and declares a recouping for everything we’ve lost—He’s “Restoring The Years!” This series has me so overjoyed—I’m telling you, this Word has been so alive in me ALL MONTH LONG because of the confidence I gave in knowing that God does the work in me Himself.
Let's get tuned up in the Word of God together!
Today, as we voyage toward the end of this series, we will experience the powerful tsunami of “God Himself” restoring, confirming, strengthening, and establishing us.
The very thought of our magnanimous God, deciding to personally handle the restorative process of our lives has been bubbling up on the inside of me all month and I can’t wait to share it with you, so let’s pray and get tuned up in the Word of God together.
Let's get tuned up in the Word of God together!
Since our relaunch, we have been voyaging to our “Restoration Destination,” and I pray you are getting restored and refreshed. In our premiere episode, we discovered that “It is well” because Christ rose, redeeming and restoring us. Then last week, we set sail continuing our journey to our “Restoration Destination,” a desire to better understand the restorative power of God to enhance our lives. Today, we will dock for a moment, at Made Whole Island, so that we can take a deeper dive into the restorative process that takes us from healed to made whole—but before we drop our anchor, let’s pray and get tuned up in the Word of God together.

Let's get tuned up in the Word of God together!
Today we continue the cruise through “Restoration Destination” as we dock momentarily at Newness Island to wade in the restorative power of God that allows us to be made over and restored to the manufacturer’s design. It is an incomplete experience to have salvation without restoration. Restoration allows the healing power of God to fix our lives and put back together all of our broken pieces.
Listen, we have a powerful Word in store for you today, Restored Me Anew, but listen before you grab your goggles and life jacket—let’s pray and get tuned up in the Word of God together.
Let's get tuned up in the Word of God together!
Today’s topic, “God, Himself” focuses on the strength of the restoration process—a process that roots from God to mankind and is handled solely by Him. Some processes are too delicate, too essential, and too fundamentally critical to be handled by human hands. It’s not that God cannot equip or assign a person to conduct the restoration process, it’s that during this season, he wants to reassure us of His love, His purpose, His plan, and His predestination over our lives—He wants us to know that just because we suffered a fall, it does mean we are thrown aside. So, as we prepare our hearts for God, Himself, let’s pray and get tuned up in the word of God together.
Scriptural Text(s): 1 Peter 5:10; Joel 2:25-26; Psalm 126:5-6
Blessed greetings everyone and welcome back to another episode of Tuesday Tune-up with Pastor Shirley Johnson. I have really been enjoying spending time with you and getting tuned up in the word of God together. Well, family, we are smack-dab in the middle of our “Restoration Destination” series, and I have been loving the son-shine. Jesus has been healing our dry and desert places while restoring us to our rightful place as children of the most high God! Haven’t you been blessed to know that we serve a God who has our restoration in mind? I know I am—where would I be, what would my life resemble if not for the healing and restoration found in God through Christ? Life has its ups, downs, and challenges too—but the faithfulness of our God to restore us never ceases.
Scriptural Text(s): Mark 16:7; Romans 8:38-39; 1 Peter 5:10; Ezekiel 34:16
Blessed greetings everyone and welcome back to another episode of Tuesday Tune-up with Pastor Shirley Johnson. November kicked off our Restoration Destination Series, and we are off to a dynamic start! Last week we began discussing the restoration process that occurs after an identity Christ-See takes place. The immeasurable residue of pain, hurt, shame, and sometimes feeling disconnected from God that results from faulty viewership can only be corrected through the restoration process.
1 Thessalonians 5:23; Revelation 1:9-11; Romans 5:6-8, James 1:2-4; 1 Peter 5:10; Ezekiel 34:16
Blessed greetings everyone and welcome back to another episode of Tuesday Tune-up with Pastor Shirley Johnson. What an extraordinary time we had in the month of October gaining a better viewership of ourselves through the Identity Christ-See series. This series caused me to shift my mirror to reflect how Christ sees me—a triumphant victor and not a victim; able to accomplish anything through Christ’s strength, a worker together with Christ, and a child of the Highest God.
Today, we are going to shift from victory through a renewed viewership resulting from our identity Christ-See to restoration. Identity crises often leave behind a residue of pain, hurt, shame, and sometimes disconnection from God. This separation leaves us feeling brokenhearted, and alone longing for emotional healing, but God always has restoration waiting around the corner of an Identity Christ-See. It is an incomplete experience to have an Identity Christ-See, without restoration—without allowing the healing power of God to fix your viewership and put back together all our broken pieces. Let’s pray and get tuned up in the Word of God together.
Scriptural Text(s): Matthew 16:14-16, Mark 16:7; Romans 8:35-39; 1 Peter 5:10; Ezekiel 34:16
Blessed greetings everyone and welcome back to another episode of Tuesday Tune-up with Pastor Shirley Johnson. There is a method to Satan’s madness when it comes to challenging our identities—the purpose is to do with us what he ultimately did to himself and that is to separate us from God. There is no limit to the strategy or technique he will utilize to avail this purpose. Any insecurity that we have will be used to manipulate us and create a compromised self-viewership. The earliest-ever recorded identity crisis occurred in the Bible when Satan decided that he should receive God's glory. It was Satan's identity crisis that caused him to fall from grace and this is the reason he seeks so desperately to skew our identities. He knows in altering how we see ourselves through Christ, that we will be vulnerable to accepting his faulty identity of us that disconnects us from God.
Scriptural Text(s): Luke 10:18-20; Isaiah 14:12-15; Daniel 1:8-13; 1 Corinthians 1:27; Daniel 1:14-16
Blessed greetings everyone and welcome back to another episode of Tuesday Tune-up with Pastor Shirley Johnson. I have enjoyed a victoriously exhausting week, so I am excited to wind down a bit with all of you. God has been doing such a mighty work in so many of us through this Identity Christ-See series—teaching us how to view ourselves properly—through the lens of Christ. Satan will always challenge our identities—he wants us to have an identity crisis so that he can create for us a flawed identity. He attempted to challenge Jesus’ identity through Sonship using hunger and Jeremiah’s identity through youth using fear. In today’s lesson, we will meet a group of friends, whose identity was challenged through lineage using culture—Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, so before we get fired up, let’s get tuned up in the Word of God together. Scriptural Text(s): Daniel 3:8-30
Last week, we shifted from the topic of mentorship to what I refer to as “viewership,” or the way in which we see ourselves based on the opinions of others or negative thoughts about ourselves formed early in life and rehearsed often. Poor viewership often leads to identity crises; however, I contend that we do not have to be in crisis. When we experience an Identity Christ-See, all that changes, so let’s pray and prepare to get tuned up in the Word of God together and then we will dive right into our lesson.

Scriptural Text(s): Proverbs 27:17; Romans 3:4; Matthew 4:1-4;
Our ability and willingness to pour into one another will not only fortify the kingdom of God, but it also reinforces our own perspective of self. This is key, because if the enemy can skew our perception of self, then, he can create doubt in our minds concerning who God has called us to be! It is for these reasons, that we chose to follow up the superhero series with “Identity Christ-See,” but before we start seeing double, let’s pray and get tuned up in the Word of God together.
WOW! Superhero September has come and gone in a Flash—can you believe that this is the last of our spiritual dynamic duos? Over the last few weeks, we have we have been studying the power of mentorship through “Spiritual Superheroes and their Trusty Sidekicks” and the impact of this series has been absolutely monumental! Today, we will wrap up this series in warp speed, much in the same way we started, but before we reveal our last set of spiritual avengers—grab your spouses, invite some friends, let's pray and prepare to get tuned up in the Word of God together.
Scriptural Text(s): Matthew 1:21; Isaiah 52:14; John 19:1-7; Matthew 27:27-31; 2 Corinthians 6:1-2; John 14:13-16; Matthew 16:18,
Blessed greetings everyone and welcome back to another episode of Tuesday Tune-up with Pastor Shirley Johnson. I am always blessed and honored to have you tuning in with us to hear what the Lord is saying concerning you.
This is Superhero September and we have been studying “Spiritual Superheroes and their Trusty Sidekicks.” While you may be familiar with the caped crusaders, you may not be as knowledgeable about the grace crusaders—the spiritual giants and the assistants that they mentor along their journeys. Mentorship is so vitally important, in general, but even more so for the believer because God will assign you to someone who will help guide you and shape you for your destiny. That’s right—“Spiritual Superheroes and their Trusty Sidekicks” teaches about the perils of a poor mentoring relationship as well as the great benefits that result out of strong mentorships.
Scriptural Text(s): Esther 2:7; Esther 2:10; Esther4:13; Zechariah 4:10
This is SUPERHERO SEPTEMBER and we have been studying our favorite spiritual dynamic duos. Batman may have been the original caped crusader vigilantly fighting crime with his sidekick Robin, but our Spiritual Superheroes are grace crusaders who spiritually war alongside their Trusty Sidekicks” moving heaven and earth to further the Kingdom of God. Spiritual Superheroes and their Trusty Sidekicks is all about mentorship—it is all about mighty spiritual leaders taking someone under their wing, helping guide someone else into the purpose that God has for them. We kicked off our series with a message titled “Garden Guidance,” featuring the original superhero God, and his trusty sidekick Adam. This was an example of an unsuccessful mentorship because the sidekick sought the superhero position before he was ready—in doing so, he found himself on the other side of the gate, naked and afraid. Today as we “Ride the Whirlwind,” we will meet another spiritual superhero who accepted and honored the mission to mentor his trusty sidekick—a man who yearned for mentorship, guidance, and direction--tune in to your favorite podcast destination to find out who our featured dynamic duo will be for this week.

Blessed greetings everyone and welcome back to another episode of Tuesday Tune-up with Pastor Shirley Johnson. It has been an incredible week already and it is only Tuesday. What I have learned over these past months is that Tuesday hits differently for me because it is the day that we come together to get tuned up, reinvigorated, and refreshed in our faith, therefore, I am always delighted to have you tuning in with us. Sometimes God performs a miracle such as the one He performed at Gibeon, however other times, He uses His people which we get a glimpse of at the Battle of Rephidim.During a time when we are encouraged to isolate and lock ourselves away—God shows us the power of togetherness and partnership. So, let’s pray and prepare to get tuned up in the word of God together, then jump right into the lesson.

Blessed greetings everyone and welcome back to another episode of Tuesday Tune-up with Pastor Shirley Johnson. I am always blessed and honored to have you tuning in with us each week. We have been on a wild and fantastic ride this summer with our power-packed series: WORD, WORSHIP, WARFARE. It has been a tremendous blessing to people everywhere. This month we are wrapping up with the “Victory through Warfare,” during which we will be examining several battles of the bible and discussing the various strategies that allow the children of God to be victorious. In this week’s message titled: “God’s Defying Power,” we will see how God shines His sun and moon on the righteous to bring us to ultimate victory as we review Joshua and the Battle at Gibeon. Blessed greetings everyone and welcome back to another episode of Tuesday Tune-up with Pastor Shirley Johnson. I am always blessed and honored to have you tuning in with us to hear what the Lord is saying concerning you. We have been enjoying a rich Summer Series over the past couple of months on victory through the Word of God, and victory through worship, and this month we will conclude our summer series with victory through warfare.
Often in this program, we look at positive ways that God flips situations in our favor or empowers us to overcome the attacks of the enemy. Our examination of warfare will be a bit different in that we will review battles lost because of disobedience as well as victories gained. I feel that it is important to view warfare through both lenses because sometimes we can experience defeat that should have been a victory because we failed to consult God or because we acted in opposition to His instruction. At other times, the deck can be fully stacked against us, and we can pull out an insurmountable victory because we dared to trust the Lord’s instruction and provision. The next 4 weeks are going to provide us with some dos and don’ts of Christian warfare that will allow us to create effective strategies for victorious living. Today’s episode, “The Cost of Disobedience” will focus on King Saul and the battle with the Amalekites. It is an example of the havoc disobedience wreaks in our lives and the devastation it brings to others because of our actions. This lesson is going to be riveting, but before we jump off the deep end, let’s pray and prepare to get tuned up in the word of God together.

Blessed greetings everyone and welcome back to another episode of Tuesday Tune-up with Pastor Shirley Johnson. My goodness, where does the time go? We are already at the end of our July Summer Series, “Victory Through Worship.” I have been reaching new heights in my worship experience, and I pray that these messages have been a blessing to your lives as well. We started this series with a quick garment change, which shifted our mindsets toward victory. Next, we became undignified and free in our worship, allowing us to remain in a place of praise despite our circumstances. Then, last week, we reviewed powerful examples of worship's ability to purpose our hearts to stay fixed on Jesus, and today we will conclude with “Praise-forming Your life,” which will demonstrate the ways in which worship keeps us triumphant by transforming our lives.

Haven’t you been enjoying our Summer Series for the month of July, “Victory Through Worship?” Since starting this series, we have put on our garments of praise and shifted our mindsets for victory, became undignified worshipers who are restored through repentance and forgiveness. Today we will learn how praise purposes or fixes our hearts to receive victory! This will be a powerful teaching and I am eager to share it with you, so let us pray and prepare to get tuned up in the word of God together.

Blessed greetings everyone and welcome back to another episode of Tuesday Tune-up with Pastor Shirley Johnson. Last week we made a costume change as we put on the garment of praise and removed the cloak of heaviness, which shifted our mindsets from defeat to victory. This week as we continue our “Victory Through Worship” series, our lesson will provide us with a glimpse into the releasing and restorative power that results from undignified worship!
Scriptural Text(s): 2 Samuel 6:21-22; Job 1:20-22; Philippians 4:12; Job 2:8-10; Job 5:8-27;

Similarly, to last month the next 4 weeks of lessons will build on various aspects of Worshipand what this means to our ability to experience victory in every area of our lives! Grab your spouse, a friend, or a loved one and get ready, because you are in for a real treat! Today, as we peel back the layers of “Victory Through Worship,” we use the subtheme, “Garment Changing Mindshift” as a vehicle to understanding the road to best traveled when we find ourselves in troubling situations or debilitating mindsets. However, before we drive off into the victorious distance, let’s pray and prepare to get tuned up in the word of God together.

It is hard to believe that we are at the last lesson for our June summer series: The Power of God’s Word. I cannot emphasize enough the blessing in reviewing these messages or going back to listen to any of the ones you may have missed. I have certainly been reinvigorated by gaining a more comprehensive understanding of the Word of God and I am confident that you will too. During the month of June, we learned that (1) God is His Word, (2) We must only speak what God speaks, (3) God’s Word is our trusted source, (4) and today we will close out with the discovery that God’s Word Never Fails!

Blessed greetings everyone and welcome back to another episode of Tuesday Tune-up with Pastor Shirley Johnson. It is hard to believe that we are almost at the end of the first month of our 3-month summer series: WORD; WORSHIP; WARFARE! Hasn’t this series, “The Power of God’s Word” blessed and challenged you during these past few weeks? I have personally been challenged to step up my time reading the Bible specifically over some other the devotional materials that typically use to keep my study time interesting and versatile. No, right now it is imperative to hear more acutely what God is saying to me in this season.
Today we are going to take an account of the faithfulness of God in our lives as we continue our study into the “The Power of God’s Word,” noting that God’s Word is and will always be “a Trusted Source” and more importantly, OUR trusted source. As we reflect inwardly, I decisively believe that we will experience a true epiphany (revelation) of God’s Word as a trusted source woven throughout the situations of our lives. Let’s jump into this message immediately after we pray and prepare to get tuned up in the word of God together.

Today marks the second week in our powerful Summer Series: The Power of God’s Word. If you missed last week’s Tune-up, then you will certainly want to go back and take listen to it—as it will surely bless you in a major way! We are having a summer mixer with our Tuesday Tune-ups so that each month we will start a new 4-week, impactful and faith-filled series with focuses on the Word, Worship, and Warfare. Last week, we gained greater insight into the concept that God is His Word and what that means for our ability to create with our own words. It was the first building block into understanding God’s word and the authority that we have through it because, God is His Word—therefore, when we speak God’s word, we are literally speaking God into our circumstances—they simply cannot remain the same when this type of supernatural power is used properly.

Just to give you a brief synopsis of what to expect, during the months of June, July, and August, we will veer just a bit from our usual format for the summer and have messages that build as a series for each month. We will journey through the topics: “The Power of God’s Word,” “The Impact of Worship,” and Victory Through Warfare. I tell you I am giddy with excitement about this powerful trifecta of WORD—WORSHIP—AND WARFARE and what it means to our relationship and walk with God.
