I frequently get asked, what courses a new professor can teach. And, that’s a great question—especially if you’re new to higher ed. Moreover, if you’ve only taught a couple of courses, or you’re an aspiring professor and future instructor, this episode is one you will want to index and save because it will absolutely benefit you--and answer many of your most important questions.
As I mentally travel back a few years to when I first thought about teaching--and those early days when I began sending in applications for teaching positions, I had no idea what I was doing!
Nevertheless, it's those experiences from that time in my life that inspired today’s episode. When I first began teaching, I only imagined teaching online courses. However, I quickly found out that I enjoyed multiple teaching formats. So, in this episode we're going to discuss all the options available to you—as well as the pros, cons, and perceptions because you too, might find that you develop an affinity for a more that one type of university teaching--once you try it and become more comfortable with it.
