G-D willing, the point is to get to know what’s happening in the season when the season comes around. So instead of being confused about how to fit your matzah in your shofar, and cheesecake on your lulav. I will orally give over and explain when I can, the different laws and customs, ins and outs, dos and donts, that are brought down in the multiple books in Jewish law, and G-D willing give you the understanding of the coming holidays in few and simple words.

Esther and Mordechai wrote down the story to be named Megilas Esther “to establish these days of Purim” to never be forgotten from the Jews, the kindness of HaShem which they had endured on this day, to thank HaShem by reading the story by night and by day, by giving two food types to one friend, by giving gifts to the poor, and by feasting.
Haman comes to the king at night to tell him of his devious plan, only to find out that his end is soon to come.
Aside from the laws and customs of this day, it’s important to know the reason for such a great celebration, therefore we will first read through the story!

The Torah tells us we must fast on the ninth day, why? What is done on the ninth day, do we eat?
The day following Rosh Hashana was established as a public fast day, for it was on that day that all the Jewish where complete removed from Jerusalem specifically and from judea in general. The glory was only restored when the Ramban made pilgrimage up to yerushalayim (not in the podcast but important to note)

The one blowing the shofar must stand when doing so. Two blessings are made. The leader of the prayers for shachris -the morning prayer- points in for the blower of the shofar
Hallel is not recited, immediately after the repetition of the amidah the prayer of Avinu Malkeinu is recited, followed by the opening of the ark, the prayer of the 13 attributes of mercy, two scrolls are then taken out, HaShem remembers his promise to our mother Sarah, the shofar blower, the passage caller, and a Bris in shul

On the day before Rosh Hashana we annul our Vows. We write a soul redeeming letter. On the day of Rosh Hashana man and obviously woman were created. Avoiding the cigarette.
18th day of the month marks 12 days left to the month, 12 days=12 months=additional self reflection. Prior to Rosh Hashana we begin saying the prayer of return (selichot/selichos) monthly we bless the coming month, do we bless the month where we are solemn, as well?!
Rosh Chodesh -the head of every month-. On day one we say chapter 27. On day two we blow the shofar and begin 3 chapters daily. Chapter 27? When?!.. shofar?! Now?!? 3 chapters?!? Daily?!? Two days of what?!
The month of Elul represents?!… mercy, returning to HaShem, all in order to receive the great blessings.
The two awesome months, on the lunar calendar, what’s the connection to the Jewish people?! Customs, (the good kind 😜). Elul=mercy. Elul+Retuning=revelation!
