When a man opens the car door or any door for you, pulls out your chair, drops you off at the front door—especially when the weather is crapy or because he notices the shoes you are wearing aren’t made for “more then a 1/2 a block or block walking” distance, and gives you his jacket when it's cooler/cold outside—this isn't controlling, this is his way—Chivalry—of showing you he cares.
Ladies, I know we can all do these things ourselves. This is not about a man trying to take away your independence or chauvinistic behavior. Again, this is his way of showing he cares about you.
Many men don't show enough chivary anymore because we either run for the door to open it ourselves, get annoyed or we lack gratutude. Then we complain that he doesn't show us he cares. Yikes!
These little gestures in relationships are important and showing your appreciation by saying “Thank You” goes a long way.
How often do we try to change who we are in hopes that the person we are dating or in a relationship with will want to be with us or choose us? This is a slippery slope ladies. The person whose choosing to be with you should love you for you—not who you are consciously or subconsciously trying to be in order to keep them and the relationship. Life is too short to settle by trying to change the core of who you are. Stop. Again, the right person who is meant for you, will love you for you—your baggage, your flaws, your personality and your ability to share how you feel. Always stay true to yourself.
Why do we get looked down upon if our significant other says yes to plans: work plans, kid stuff, or something he decided to agree on with his Ex prior to discussing with us?
Before he decided on anything major there should be a level of respect where you, your feelings and what you have going on is taken into consideration and if he says “Ye:” to something you should feel guilty or forced to do whatever her agreed on without consulting you.
Relationship are a union—not two single people doing whatever they want. If so, why be in a relationship?
Why Are Setting Boundaries and Using Your Voice In Relationships Important? When we create our non-negotiables in relationship, this creates boundaries of what we are and are not willing to accept from a partner in order to have a successful and lasting relationship .
Expressing how we feel is equally important when any of our 5 non-negotiable are broken or not being met. Being truthful with the boundaries we create and using our voice will be the big difference between having a successful (not perfect) and a unsuccessful relationship.

Is He Expecting Intimacy When There Is Emotional Disconnect? Ladies, hugging, holding hands, kissing and especially wanting to have sex with your partner, significant-other or husband can seem forced or like a dreaded chore if you have just had an argument, feel unheard, disrespected, devalued or gaslighted. Emotional connection, communication and trust are essential for any relatinship to work and last—not just sex alone. If your partner wants and truly values you and your relationship, he will work on the deep connection first before trying or guilting you in to having sex after he has said or done something to hurt or upset you. NEVER do anything that doesn’t feel right and comfortable for you. 💞
