Music Medicine is a forward thinking show presented by former BBC Radio 1 & 1Xtra Producer and Ecstatic Dance DJ, Iszabel, broadcasting from the magical island of Ibiza.
Music Medicine delves deeper into the beats and speech to increase consciousness about who and how we are, to help you connect more fully with yourself, each other and the world around. It’s about letting go, learning, listening, feeling, healing and dancing.
Loosely based around an Ecstatic Dance ‘wave’, the show traverses the BPMs and genres. There’s pre-released tracks, fresh cuts and old school classics. The music helps us to drop the thoughts from our mind and get into the bones and muscles of our bodies. There are tracks to unwind to and tracks to shake out to. The music also takes us into our hearts, so we can feel the full spectrum of human emotion.
Music Medicine aims to be both a resource and a support. You can use it as the basis for your embodiment practice or listen to it as a show in itself. There are also guest interviews from the worlds of music, healing, health and wellbeing.
Music Medicine is all about the present, and future, this month with fresh, and unreleased tracks from Subject 13, Boys Be Kko, Erik Buschmann and Brecon.
Plus, Ameli Paul encourages us to have love for one another, Future Utopia wants us not to stop caring for our planet, and Nia Archives bigs up the bad gyalz. Let the music take you on a journey.

This month, Music Medicine takes you on a journey through the Elements.
The Elements – Earth, Fire, Water, Air and Ether – are celebrated across cultures and belief systems. From the time of the ancient Greeks, they were the cornerstone of philosophy, science and medicine for over two thousand years.
Each element has particular qualities, which provide gateways for exploration.
Iszabel mixes music to take you into the grounding, nurturing essence of Earth, encourages you to let go and dream with Fire, start to heal and harmonise through Water, find lightness and freedom with Air and come back to the everything, and nothing, of Ether, getting you closer to yourself and the world around.
Lie back and contemplate, or get up and dance, your relationship with the Elements.

“One good thing about music, when it hits you, you feel no pain.” In this months’ dose of Music Medicine, I drop beats to help navigate the full spectrum of what it means to be human. There’s new releases from Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs and Sun-El Musician, as well as Voodoo and Prayers, the label run by John Lee Fenton – the man behind the show’s artwork. There’s also a relaxing mix to soothe the soul and uplift the heart with electronic tracks and sounds from Nature interspersing live recordings of my sound healing instruments to guide you through a journey towards better health and wellbeing.
Music Medicine is full of fresh music this month with brand new tracks from Bonobo, Nightmares on Wax and Goldie’s new moniker, Subjective. Hear how Dutch duo Amy Root have translated William Turner’s paintings into sound and the masterful way Absolute has mashed up Raw Silk’s Do It To The Music.
We’ll also be delving into music and movement to explore the energies of yin, yang and yeung; yin being the receptive feminine energy, yang the active masculine energy and yeung the mix of the two. Regardless of your gender or how you identify, we all have these energies inside of us, and exploring them through the dance allows us to become more complete, more whole.
DJ and Producer Mose joins Iszabel in this months edition of Music Medicine. He’ll be dropping his most loved tracks as well as some new releases. Sharing his words of wisdom, Mose chats about his spiritual practice, the freedom of Ecstatic Dance, where he gets his inspiration from, collaborating with other musicians and why we should all feel hopeful for the future.
As an antidote to the peak summer season in Ibiza, this month’s Music Medicine drops a meditative shamanic mix to lay back and chill out to, enticing you into deep relaxation (Earth) through increasing and decreasing waves (Water) to the peak of your edges (Fire) and back to your breath (Air).
We welcome old skool raver, sound healer and curator of the infamous Cosmic Pineapple parties at Pikes, Kim Booth, to the show. She chats about her music industry past and her spiritual awakening. There’s also new tracks from Milio, Mild Minds and LEGATO plus a classic from Josh Wink.
We call on the ancestors to help us learn a little more about the Black Lives Matter movement and look at what we can do both individually and collectively to create a more equitable world.
There’s new cuts from Klaves, Hiatus, Joseph Ray and Awe Kid, with a couple of classic vibes thrown in. We look at the courage it takes to reach out for support and big up the people who’ve got our back.
Dancing through tunes by Parra For Cuva, Special Request and Sahalé, we’ll tap into a little gratitude and find ways to get more present. In celebration of Earth Day, we’ll also consider what we can do to reduce our impact on our planet.
In your second dose of Music Medicine, we take our time and then raise the energy before bringing it down again. We’ll look at the future of dancing in clubs as well as the interconnectedness of everything.
In this first programme, we look at ways to deal with the absence of human touch, how to find freedom & space in the body and what to do when the more sticky emotions arise.
