The oldest and longest running club and live music venue in Arkansas
Dae takes us from the opening of the building in 1927 to present and wraps it up with a peek into the future and a Ted Lasso reference that gave us chills. What started as a café for the railroad has become an icon music lounge whose stages feature top talent. They also host networking and charity events + cherished core memory moments like weddings and even a prom!

April is Child Abuse Awareness and Prevention month, so we asked Amy Morgan (Pediatric Dental Associates & Orthodontics) and Peyton Stewman (Child Safety Center of Washington County) about the CSC of Washington County and what is happening in the month of April and beyond.
There's still time to participate in the Passport to Prevention! Pick up your card and shop through the 30th of April...there's still time to be entered to win a GREAT BIG basket full of goodies from all the participants!
As we all know, child abuse is not just a problem in the month of April and there are several ways that you can lend your support after this month and throughout the year. One way is their largest fundraiser of the year, Dream Big Gala, happening this year on Saturday, July 29th. This Big Top themed gala has historically raised as much as $350,000 in one evening. AMAZING!
They also have a running list of needs from socks, snacks, gift cards, toiletries...all the things that we have around and take for granted. There is a ready to shop list on Amazon and Walmart.

You've likely heard the fashion buzz that has taken over Northwest Arkansas this past week. If you haven't....let us fill you in by simply saying that Crystal Bridges hosted the "Grit to Glamour" Gala and brought in celebrities and fashion icons like Seth Meyers, Christy Turlington Burns, Claire Vivier, and Tommy Hilfiger. Yeah, I know!
It would be a mistake to overlook the influence that Northwest Arkansas Fashion Week + INTERFOM has had on pulling the fashion spotlight to this little, yet mighty, part of the country.
Jenn had the privilege of sitting with Zack Ridenoure, Creative & Communications Director, at INTERFORM whose home base is in downtown Springdale. This isn't just an organization putting on fashion shows for an audience's enjoyment. INTERFORM is conscientiously supporting the fashion industry through thoughtful programming including a designer-in-residence program taking its participants through the process from the first stitch to business planning and sales. They also are using their platform in a meaningful way to promote diversity, social change, and the power of the public voice.

This week's guest is Rachel Fox, founder of NWA Girl Gang, a gal we always love chatting with. An Arkansas transplant from NYC, Rachel is a mom of two, avid mountain biker, lover of local, and advocate for all. She founded NWA Girl Gang with the mission to "provide accessible, inclusive, and equitable opportunities that support women (cisgender and transgender) and nonbinary individuals of ALL ABILITIES through community events, entrepreneurial opportunities, programming, mutual aid & radical care.".
One of the things that we at TSG NWA love is that NWA Girl Gang strives to "...uplift, and empower those that seek to feel seen, included, and valued in their communities...". That's huge and under-represented in a lot of regions.

Elizabeth Prenger is the creator of Prose Creative and Prose Ventures, busy (busy!) mom of two boys, entrepreneur, and great friend to The Scoutcast. These days she's also working on women's health initiatives and coming up with her own inventions made with childbirth and the female anatomy in mind.
Here's the deal (+ here's our warning), childbirth is graphic, it's not pretty, it's painful, and it's not over just because the baby arrives. No one talks about it. It's a beautiful thing, but the conversation about the trauma to the body, the emotional toll it can take, well, it tends to be swept under the rug.
This conversation is a positive one. It removes the stigma from things that have been 'taboo' to talk about publicly, and it's exciting because there is about to be something on the market for women, made by women, to address some of the injuries that result from childbirth. And if you don't giggle at the name, we need to talk.
It's also graphic and unedited. There's language, kinda.
