holistically inclined: Recent Episodes

Alexandria Garreau

Alexandria, an RHN, has been involved in the holistic health community for more years than she can remember. Some may say that she is holistically inclined. Maybe you also consider yourself holistically inclined or, maybe you have no clue what holistic health really entails. Either way, if you love myth busting, truth speaking, and unpopular opinions, then you’re in the right place.

Time for a heart to heart, one on one solo episode!

This is a topic that I think about often and couldn't wait to delve into. Faith played a huge role in my healing and I also believe that my healing played a huge part in my faith.

In this episode, I talk about how scripture and my faith in God helped me to let go of the control that I desired to have over my situation and how I LET GOD handle it. I discuss scripture that has helped me to feel confident, whether a pimple is present or not. Of course, I emphasize the impact that stress and mindset has on our healing and how scripture and God helped me overcome just. that.

Enjoy <3

I. Am. So. Dang. Excited.

Having Kristen on the podcast was such an amazing experience. This lady has gone FULL CIRCLE. From being a NICU nurse (who thought home births should be illegal), to becoming a holistic nutritionist, next a freedom fighter, and now a faith filled mama - who had her very own home birth - travelling through southern countries with her family who mentors other mamas to help them stand up for their family and stay true and firm in their beliefs.

We talk all about how Kristen got to where she is now, her pivotal moments, standing steadfast in her beliefs when the media (tried to) shame her, and also her new course, Warrior Mama.

This is such an inspiring, enlightening, and eye opening podcast episode. Kristen has so much faith filled courage that she fills a room with exuberance.

Please, enjoy :)

Current status: wondering how Costa Rica got it so right but western society has, in some cases, gotten it wrong when it comes to birth.

In this episode, our guest Corryn, from TWA Studio, discusses her costa rican birth story as a Canadian and how she felt her birth experience could've gone sideways if she chose a different country to have her daughter. We talk about why her and her husband chose Costa Rica, her pregnancy experience in a different country, holistic approaches her own OB took, the atmosphere, as well as the Costa Rican outlook on pregnancy & children. This episode is jam packed with so much hope, light, and assurance that birth doesn't have to be scary or traumatic (although we do understand that uncontrollable things happen). So sit back, relax, enjoy some fresh Costa Rican fruit or maybe a kombucha, and enjoy!

bare with me here as I get used to the technology that is podcasts as the audio is sometimes funny, but that is life.

a small note: it sounds like I am saying that organic wheat is sprayed with glyphosate but I mean to say that it ISN'T and non-organic IS. hehe anyway.
