Thought-provoking, mind-expanding, intentional conversations that seek to explore the world through the perspectives of different kinds of people, with the ultimate goal of learning and growth.
I can explain.. I've been busy with life and other things..! Although it's been a MINUTE, I'll always come back to doing this because I genuinely enjoy it and will continue to have a desire to learn and grow.
So I'm back, with company! In this seventh episode of The No Room Podcast (/No Room Podcasts), I am joined by good friend Ian Chang and Joyce Tyra Kang (past guest and guest co-host)! We reflect, reminisce, and ruminate on high school and college days, how far we've come, and how much more we want to grow. And as we turn a quarter of a century old this year, we feel the pressures of the world and ever more slightly, the thrills and joys but also the worries and fears that come with adulting.
This episodes energy is definitely chaotic and I had a lot of fun recording this one! Shout outs to Ian, Joyce, Peter, and Mama Kang!
(The audio for this episode was a little wonky so apologies and please bear with it as you guys listen to this longer episode!)
This recording introduces a new series on The No Room Podcast! IDs, or Inner Dialogues, are more raw thoughts, concepts, and ideas that flow from my subconscious. These thoughts can be borderline controversial and are more open-ended ideas that this new series attempts to entertain with the intention to be open minded.Come join me along this new series as I put forth into words, the thoughts that can inspire and motivate, yet torment and plague my mind!
In this episode of The No Room Podcast, we have a guest that I have known all my life, but only recently learned his name! As I interview Bob/Bobby/Bobbythy, come and learn who he is and what he's about. My friends have given probing, thought-provoking questions to ask Bob. Bob is a mid 20s bachelor who is seeking for meaning in life as he navigates his faith, the desires of his passions, and his fear of judgement/perception from those around him and how that affects the narrative he lives. He's asked 24 questions as he turns 24 on this day!
This episode is shorter but is packed with heavy, life questions that maybe you guys can also answer along with!
Happy birthday Bobby! #kobeyear
After a short hiatus, we're back! And with a special, different guest! I talk with my boss about growing up in a different time, compared to the digital world we live in now. He shares about his journey, from childhood to being an entrepreneur and everything in between. With wise words that come from years of experience, failure, and success, Jason Lee shares how he navigated his everyday with family and friends, in an analog world. Come prepared, ready to be taken back to the past where the thought of a "smart" phone is preposterous!
Also, come through (and shout out) to Pause Tea and Coffee on Melrose for some great coffee and sandwiches!
Welcome back to the No Room Podcast! For this hour of conversation, Jun and I talk about our shared love for film and creative activities. I ask him about his motivation for what he pursues and his many interests. Jun opens up about his journey from high school to college, which made him who he is today. Having met Jun a couple of years ago, I always felt that we vibed well and have a good time talking! I'm grateful for the opportunity to catch up with Jun and talk about the plans we both have moving forward. Come join us for an hour of rich, engaging conversation!
For the third episode, another friend joins me to talk about what she's been up to! We discuss, share, and connect in our similar upbringing, having moved a lot with no set group of friends or community. Sharon has always been a busy-bee, juggling multiple activities and responsibilities at a time. Since graduating this past year, she's studying for the MCAT, running a nonprofit organization, and working. Her passion for helping the underprivileged compels her to pursue the medical field and eventually go on overseas missions.
Joyce Kang, a recent university graduate, begins her post-grad life! As we share in conversation about the worries of the real world and our futures, she shares her experience going on missions overseas and the reality of God outside our limited perspectives. Joyce talks about her degree, the best experience she's ever had, and plans for the future! Make sure to listen to until the end for some humor!
Glenn Windmiller is a Christ-follower, pharmacist, husband, and new dad. His unique upbringing as a half black, half white Christian has shaped who he is today and his outlook on life. I talk with Glenn about his testimony, growing up biracial, his thoughts/worries/excitement about beginning the journey of fatherhood, and his passion for creative writing. Glenn passionately speaks about these things as the first guest on The No Room Podcast!
Welcome to the No Room Podcast! This is the start of something I've been wanting to do for a long time. I'm excited for the boundless possibilities that I can/will have for various conversations with many different people! I'm hopeful and expectant to learn a lot and grow, so join me in that journey! Hopefully, I can create and produce engaging and interesting episodes as I discourse with friends/acquaintances. Stay tuned!
