Teaching on Tap is a series of lectures and discussions from my classroom teachings and special topics surrounding special education, assessment, neurodiversity, IEP, and everything related to special education. This is made available for the benefit of my students. I am solely responsible for the content of this podcast.
This is undergad discussion over Case study #1 in ED 371. I apologize for the poor audio

This episode, we start with the timeline for initial evaluation and dive into the weeds as we discuss the process of an initial evaluation. This is a recording of the first class of ED 371
This is the first recording of ED330 class. The audio quality of this episode is not the best. I will be working to improve the audio quality over the next few weeks as I get familiar with the equipment.
Key points.
1) Who are you? How do you define yourself? Do you define yourself by what you cannot do? IDEA provides us with 13 distinct categories of disability (exceptionalities), each is defined by what the student cannot do and their limitations. We briefly discuss this in this episode.
2) Study quizzes are there to help you with the material. They will be helpful when you take the LBS1 test.
3) We did some exercises that illustrated how the brain processes and students experienced how difficult it can be when you have processing issues.
